SK-2 No Sleep 'Til Divytown V1.0 Background. The second part of the The Shattered Kingdom series finds the hero(es) in the almost besiged town of Cross River. After the farming community on which they grew-up was attacked and wiped-out by a goblin raiding party, the heroes fought their way to the goblins recently adopted hold and killed their leader, avenging their mentors deaths. Only one of the farming communities elders, Conner a Ranger, survived the ordeal. With the wounded Conner in tow, the heroes returned to the local town of Cross River...
I would love to see you finish SK3. I would almost instantly start a new campaign with SK1 if SK3 came out. I love this series and it would make me very sad to see it unfinished. The Bain Sidhe are fantastic foes with deep and very interesting motivations. In a way there point of view is very much like those used to start wars though out all recorded history. Since SK3 was not finish at the time our campaign finished SK2 I took the Bain Sidhe along with me into other modules and turned them into a bunch of time traveling racist bent on the enslavement and destruction of all other races (sound familiar?). Its funny, many people in that party have had to deal with the fact they, in many ways they agree with the Bain Sidhe?s philosophy, with the only exception being on the other side of the fence. Moreover, they all feel that their actions of racism are just and noble until somebody points out the evil of there actions. I would not rebuild SK2 or 3 but I would update them to keep the bugs out. Funny, I didn't run into any bugs at all the last time I DMed either of these module.

I'd vote for SK3 (BTW part A or B??) Then I'd refrain from a major upgrade of chp 1 and 2. They still look very pretty I'd just face the showstopping bugs and start building something new. Staying on the same project forever doesn't make it perfect and I'm sure you'll improve more by doing new things than by revamping old ones. Of course, in a sense, you can try new things with old mod, but stroy telling wise it won't make that much difference and with the new mods around it's very difficult to find the time play a known mod again, even if remastered. _________________________ The hottest new modules you can't miss - player suggested Contributor to Overlooked Module Reports An interview with me about NWN mods

Hmmm, Maybe the latest patch has sorted that out - good to hear. By the way ChaironDeCeleste there is a Tailor in Divytown who'll make custom alterations to your armour for you. cyberglum

The needlemen issue vexed me, so I simply recompiled the mod in the toolkit without making any changes (SoU and HotU 1.65) - voilá, they had their attack back :-)

Wow! Feedback :) Ok, I'll try and finish off SK3 for you guys. Out of interest - what bugs have people coming across? So far I'm aware of :- -Prostitutes need their Faction changed. -Needlemen have lost their Spikes attack- this is very unfortunate. A recent patch screwed-up the Creature special abilities. I know there are files to sort it but its a real pain... Anything else anyone wants to report? cyberglum

Although rebuilding SK1 and 2 would be nice, I don't think it would be essential to do in order to finish with SK3. :) I would personally rather see the series finished, then if you felt like it, go back and rebuild the first two. Of course, when you get around to posting a new series, I'll likely play that, too. :)

*** Vote *** Rebuild SK 1 and SK 2,then finish the adventure with SK 3. Everyone can start a new series, but only a handful that can actually finish them. Show them you can finish what you've started, glum !

*** Vote *** Rebuilding SK 1 and SK (Although it will rather be rewriting the series due to all the bugs and glitches wich snuck in over time, caused by the official patches). A plea: please allow the players to customize their gear within the mods.

Hi all, First off, apologies for not finishing the series. I?ve not done any building for about a year now but I?m seriously getting the urge to get building again. Now I have a couple of options:- With all the new custom haks and more powerful scripts that are about right now I would *have to* re-build SK1 and SK2 and then finish off SK3. The rebuilds I have no doubt would improve the series greatly but it would take time and essentially we?d end-up with the same adventures ? all be it more shiny and new. OR? I can start on a new series. I have already been playing about with some stuff in the toolset and am feeling pretty confident I could produce something similar in quality to the SK series ? custom world, background, unique-ish settings and a good, story driven adventure. So, its up to you guys out there, after all you?re the ones that play them. Finish off the SK series or start a new 3-part adventure. YOU DECIDE!!! cyberglum
