Description
v1.12 Continuing the Journey you began months ago to search for your friend and fellow adventurer, Haitsien's Daughter, you now find yourself in the lengenday land of the Elves. For thousands of years, this has been a world of peace and prosperity where war is a tale told by the fire and all Races dwell together in harmony. Until now. Unexplained anger erupts from the calmest individual, the Queen herself is nowhere to be seen. And due to your late arrival from across the Sea of Infinity, your friend has been waiting for you in the fabled city of Tierabel for three months! You have promised her to help solve the murder of her father. With your talented Wizard henchman, Vernie, you step into a world of political intrigue to discover what you can about The Elven Conspiracy. Note: Nudity and Sex. Adults Only! Medium fighting to heavy, depending on which path you choose through the mod.

Oh Barb, thanks for coming back! I got NWN 2 and looked at the tool set too (#$% gad!). I am so glad you're going back to NWN to complete your Trilogy (uh, it will only be a trilogy...right?). Well for what its worth, you have a devoted fan. I don't know if I could do anything to help, but I'm here for what ever. Best wishes to you. _________________________ Durned Elf..
Well, scratch these holidays for a release. Look to Valentine's Day. LOL.
The good news is that you'll have henchmen, printable maps, and some game-changing choices - even a chance to hand off a quest to an NPC!
See you in 2008.

I'm playing catch up with a lot of the modules on the vault as have been playing off and on the last few years. Just finished this mod and enjoyed it thoroughly. I used the same character as in JOTM1 but I had him saved as Fighter8/Rouge8 so just used him in both games at the start and it worked fine. No levels gained in this part but the roleplaying was great and having played Dragon Caves Expanded I was curious how it would be in JOTM2. Glad to hear you will be coming out with JOTM3 on NWN. I'm one of the few who as yet can not upgraded to a new system for NWN2 so glad I won't have to wait. Great work and looking forward to the next.
Hi everyone! It's good to see comments from people.
UPDATE!!! JOTM3 should be out during the holidays (late November-ish.) I scrapped everything I'd done for the second time. Hated NWN2 toolset. Too prissy and time-consuming. (bigger is NOT always better) This month, started using the old NWN toolset. Now, I'm having a blast making the mod again. Finally!
I've got 23 areas mostly built with a few more to make, and a story that's going to knock your socks off. There aren't many side quests, there's a lot of talking, and you'd better be ready to fight for your life. The story is darker than Part One and more focused than Part Two. And, lots of humour..sort of... let's just say, you'll laugh, you'll cry...you'll die...
The game will be in NWN original with both x-paks. No haks. No nudity. Level 14 recommended. Bring your best weapons, anything you have from The Elven Conspiracy (You did get the Dire Maiden's Sword, didn't you?) and be prepared for an emotional ride, boys and girls.
Emails will reach me any time and I'm glad to answer any questions or help with hints and spoilers for Parts 1&2. For updated info on Part 3, and a chance to playtest, join my Yahoo Group.

I wonder where my old vote went to.

Good followup to the first module of this series...
Ooooh, I forgot to tell you what character I am playing with! I have many, but for this one I'm using a human female ranger/fighter. It doesn't matter whether I play with low level characters or not, but I have gotten to L20 with this one and reeeeally would like to continue with her into part 3.
K, I must comment! Not many mods have made me laugh outright, but both of yours did. Thank you. I enjoy mature natured material as well. Though I never did find F-F sexual action. I am guessing it was there somewhere and I just missed it. Ah well... maybe my lost friend will greet me with open arms and a... a kiss when I finally see her. ^_^ That is, if I don't kill her first for leaving me after I freed her from jail.
I had problems with door transitions. Maybe it's due to the camera mode I chose. I kept getting flipped back around to where I had already been. For example, in the Spa lower level I had to pan all the way down then try to click on a weapon rack in the hallway in order to get out of the room and into said hallway.
I sure hope part 3 comes out soon! Your humor is killer; more, please!

Nice to see you're looking into building again Barbara. Good stuff. Take care.
Hi everyone. I'm looking forward to downloading the NWN2 Toolset this weekend! Although it won't allow us to actually make a working mod, mod-makers can mess around and walk inside from what I understand from the Devs. Yes, I'm going to make a new mod. It'll take a while. First, I'll play through the game with a buddy.
My email is too spammy (over 40 spams/week) to deal with lately, so this weekend (Oct.1 2006) I'll have a Yahoo Group set up for JOTM. Even if it's just me and a few players, it will be a place to chat and post pix and exchange ideas.
Unless someone else has taken the name it will be called Jouney of A Thousand Miles.
I'll come back here to post a notice after it's up and running.
Thanks to all of you who have enjoyed the game and whom I've met online and in person.

once NWN2 comes out and I get into my next mod, I'll put up a forum somewhere - maybe yahoo groups so I can get feedback and ya'll can chat with each other.

Great story, hope for a visit to Tierabel soon with my high level Ranger/Druid/Cleric.
I've always played a Ftr/Rge. What can I say, its the closest thing to a swashbuckler available in NWN. Having said that, I loved the two parts of JOTM and really, really want JOTM 3. By preference, I prefer high level campaigns. Everybody and their brother seems to have created campaigns that start with first level PCs. There are very few high-level offerings so I'm always pushing for more of those.

Barb, you don't have your e-mail listed anywhere around that I can find anymore. But, to answer your last post, how about Ranger (Logical for an Elf or Half-Elf and I am so glad you got the HD fx'd! Outstanding!!
Email is the FASTEST way to reach me! Posts here get read maybe once a month.
Thanks to all JOTM players. Just had my old hard drive resurrected with forensic software and can now mess with JOTM3 to get back in the groove. Can't wait for NWN2 and new content. I don't plan on using any haks for the next mod.
Please email me with suggestions as to whether you'd like to continue the story with high level Player Characters or start over with lower level ones. Low levels will be newbie friendly and can gain experience quickly. Also, please let me know your fave classes.
Please everyone, put JOTM somewhere in the subject line of your emails. I love hearing from you, but am trying to keep the spam level down. ;-)

Barb, yer killin' me! yer killin' me! Actually, I was really hoping you would finish before NWN 2 (even tho I have already reserved my copy from "Game Stop") You're a doll. Oh yea, In case you didn't know, I love the story.
Please consider module transitions and character exports for all parts of the series as well as readme files in the archive.
Right now it looks like the vault is under a phreaker attack since it is almost impossible to download any files

- yikes I've thought I had Vernis death upon my consience until I've played it again from a save - I even tried to fill up all 12 empty bottles in the spa hot-tub as a preparation for the desert voyage and crosscombed the oasis for rations...
GOOD NEWS for fans of JOTM. I've been getting lots of emails the past year, and now that NWN 2 is poised to come out, I feel ready to take up the Journey again.
It makes more sense to me to take advantage of the new material and new tool set B'ware is bringing out. I'll salvage the old programs and hope some of my custom content survives. Do ya'll care if the Nude Pak is in the game?
(I plan on using it if I can.)
Thanks to so many of you who have playtested Tierabel and written to me over many months. Vernie is growing, waiting to see you again. HaiTsien's Daughter has to find her father's murderer.
Weather permitting,(I've had three hurricanes and lots of damage here in SoFla since 2004.) we'll be back on the Journey later this year.

I really enjoyed the first two modules and got pretty hooked on the story. So, on that note, wasup with the third one. I hope this doesn't turn out to be like so many others that never finsh their module series and leave their devoted players hanging out to dry. I would love to finsh a module series I have really enjoyed, so please at least give a small update as to where you are with your module so we at least know you have not forgotten about us.
