O man :( I just got to the monk area and I crashed. I have been playing since I started and I had not saved yet :(. *screams a few un savory words because he has to restart from beginning*Sharing the mind, body and soul of Shinkutsu.
I'm a bit disappointed with the Vault. I've been checking the File Updates list, that list all uploaded files ready for download after every update, so it would list Avi's Mod and Hakpack on the file update list after they finally updated the site for current uploads.
Well Listed for Sunday, February 13, it's listed that there are no files. Nothing. And they just had the update too, because I checked approximately an hour ago and Sunday wasn't yet listed. I agree with Hitokiri about not being able to wait. I want to play it today if at all possible, because I know I'll be busy all this week.
I'm sad, because I can only go through the demo so many times. I'm really bored of it already, and I wish I wasn't.
I'm so bored I'm offing all of the villagers.

Well I'm gonna hope I have some free time to play it all the way though when the vault updates , which I hope is today, well can't wait till then.
Lord_Sabbathiel: well, thanks. I will be sure to enjoy my break from modules, although I won't escape my midterms in march =(
Mystery Poster: Well, be sure to wait until I update the link to the hakpak. Because I uploaded the hakpak separate from the module and at the same time, I will have to update the mainpage to link with the hakpak so you can find it. =)Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

YAY! I'm glad it's finally done, Avi. I've been DYING to play this game. Well, when the Vault updates, I'm downloading it right away!
You must of been very busy with the final touches Saturday night to have finally uploaded it early Sunday. YAY.
I'm excited too. I just hope it doesn't take IGN til Monday to have the site finally update again. I really want to upload it soon, I cleared alot of space on my hard drive and deleted old Mods and unneeded Haks, just in case this is a big file, Because I really want to play it.
I really enjoyed the first two mods you co-created, and really enjoyed the mod demo for this I'm gonna play it again now just so I will be ready for the actual release... Too bad the Vault doesn't update in real time, huh?
Go ahead, give yourself a long break, you deserve it. I mean how do you find the time anyway, you must be a busy college student as it is juggling school and having a life, especially if you work. So yeah, by all means give yourself an early spring break, take all the time you need. You deserve it.
Well right now I am really excited. As I am now uploading the full module on the vault. After 14 pages of bug fixes during the entire duration of the beta testing stage I feel like I finally have a finished product! I hope, I sincerely hope that I have eliminated all fatal plot errors and hope I do not have too many small bugs to fix in the future. I am really tired from building modules right now so don't expect any new modules from me for a good three months(at least). I would like to thank all who supported the demo and gave me much advice, suggestions, and corrections! Especially those who provided detailed comments. I will post a link to the full version when the vault updates. Again, thanks everyone! =)Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

Yes, release is confirmed for the weekend. Just hang on, I am fixing some small bugs right now. And my god, still trying to get one more ending to sit in the right place. Ronin is certainly not done after the "kensai of Kyoto" episode. But that is another long story for me to tell. I can't promise on sunday, as the update system on the vault is not real time, but monday is more likely. See you all =)Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

I've been playing some really long modules, including series' just to past the time. I just completed A Harper's Tale 3 which is more like a four parter to me, kind of like the original Neverwinter Nights(before SOU & HOU), I did this so I can pass the time (when I have time) until your module is released. Well I'm finished... (*sniff*) I sure hope, you'll have a weekend release?! I hope.. I hope.
(I'd even settle for a "beta" release..hint, hint. lol)

for some reason i keep getting a corrupt HAK when i DL this demo. can some one send me a good one pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase so i can play this demo. i realy liked samurai tale 1&2 and can't wait to play this mod when its done but i would like to play the demo too.
Update First, I just finished my midterm today...finally...time to run the module one last time. I am so close to release I can feel it...somehow...anyway stay tunned for the week, I will release it as soon as I can.
Cel, sorry to make you cry =D Anyway, I will use better haks for my new oriental module. So yeah...you keep up the good work too. Would be better if there were more oriental modules on the vault anyway. =)Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

Thanks for the comments Cel. The evil/good options are more apparant later in the game. But to have a good story, some options must be limited to follow the plot. Being too open would overwhelm me with too much work. I am lazy to some certain degree =)
But thanks anyway for the suggestions. About hakpaks, I will consider it for my next oriental module but this one is almost done, so I will still stick with what I already have for hakpak. See ya.Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

Oh hey, I forgot to say a few things. You know when you talk to that one chick, in that one dream? well, it was actually really funny and I couldn't stop laughing (like for real) cuz she kept standing up and falling, it was hilarious. Umm, that and the main city map lags a lot, it's kinda huge @_@. I think the city could be split up in two areas if you really wanted to >.> but.. you probably won't wanna do that. Other than that, I think when the main character gets the option to say "you women" sometimes is misplaced
Thank you all, but I have some good and bad news at the moment. The female character test wasn't all that successful and the fatal plot error will delay the early release back to mid feburary. =(
The good news is I have caught even more grammatical mistakes further improving the quality. Also have been able to add a few little sidequests...
I have a midterm next week. So I'll have to study hard this weekend therefore no time to beta test...my original plan was to release it this weekend, but since the female character beta test was unsuccessful I will not be beta testing it the final time until after feb 8(obviously my midterm is that day). But If all goes well after my midterm the module will be released no later than feb 15! Sorry for the delay. Or rather sorry I could not make the early release! =(Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

I've been playing this demo since December, and have been eagerly awaiting the complete release, I've also played an enjoyed "A Samurai's Tale" I & II both. I've pretty much agreed with everyone else here with the positive comments, so I didn't really bother replying before.I would just read what everyone else had to say.
I'm happy you've been improving the grammar and spelling in your modules, with both the Samurai's Tale modules that would of been my only complaints. Other than that I've really enjoyed all of your Feudal Japanese based modules. Although this one is technically your first solo module, you've done extremely well since Candace left. Keep up the good work, I'd honestly state the demo alone is worth a Hall of Fame nomination.
Can't hardly wait for the initial release.

I can't wait ^.^ this would be really good to start a weekend with ^.
Release is close now. Just have to run through the game one more time with a female character and see if I can catch any more bugs. That's it for update!Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)

It's 'Mr.'
I don't feel like logging in... anyways.
I hope that you did not only feel critism from my post, Ronin is very good for a demo. It's actually much better than a lot of complete modules.
My qualms are mainly superficial (hak pak choice) or no even necessary (modules is already leveled for early characters.)
Soooo... I guess you can say I have no real qualms? Something like that, I like it :)
Funny how my two favorite modules are Kunoichi and Ronin are two opposite ends of society or whatever (a wandering samurai and clan-bound ninja.) Should ask the author of Kunoichi to borrow some characters for cameos :D et vice versa of course.
Wouldn't it be cool if as kunoichi we can assassinate someone in this module??
Again, awesome module with nothing I can think of that would seriously detract from gameplay.
Progress on beta testing: Ran through the module again...caught another 20 spelling mistakes...oh...how do I manage to find more of those each time I pick different options? That's just not good...Hopefully I get get this released by next week or sunday of this week. See you all. Ciao! Nice to see you again, hitokiri! Still running through the game again...hopefully finish by end of this week!
Mr or Miss No Name, I suppose the CODI hak for samurai robes are better but everything in my combo hak has been fixed and modified to some extent, so I will have to stick with what I already have.
As for your second qualm. I am afraid that rebalancing the whole game again would be a pain in the head, not to mention the time it would take to do it over again, so you will have to live with that too for the final version. Sorry, but the module is just too complete now to make anymore major changes...well I hope you will enjoy whatever the full version can offer you.Author of: "Ronin, Kensai of Kyoto" (Demo Available Currently)
