Setting: A slightly apocolyptic future America, in which mutated demons and rogue gunslingers clash over a wasted desert landscape. Its D+D meets Mad Max. The Story: A simple revenge story, on your journey to the frontier of New California, you are attacked by bandits, and stranded in the middle of a burning desert. You will need a fast trigger hand and a faster mind to survive in this wasteland. Build Time: 2 Months Play Time: 2-3 hours Word Count: 10000 Thanks to the Firefly and D20 mod teams for making this module possible..... Revised edition fixes: Coshee texture bug 'Missing' hak file, doesnt require creatures hak either Not being able to complete first convo Adds a number of un dm'd feats, making other classes viable for play
Unfortunately the haks are part of two sets made by two different groups, the D20 Modern and Forestwolf's FireFly. Neither hak set was created by the author of the module. Only part of the D20 system is used to reduce what a player needs to download. So no combining....

Is there some way that all of the required files could just be uploaded into one single folder for download? I think this would make alot of people less confused and also take less time and stress.

You did fine :) On some installs the TLK file for some reason didn't create with the patch that implemented it. Most of us have been using CEP, PrC etc for so long we forget that it sometimes isn't there... Have fun!

All righty, I threw caution to the wind and CREATED a tlk folder for the main directory then put the fireflytlk in there and..... it worked YEAH! Ya I know, you are thinking what an idiot. Seriously there was no folder, any way I am going to play it now, thanks anyway.

Actually I don't have a tlk directory. The original dialogtlk. was in the main directory. I then removed it and put the firefly one where it was, but then there were no words on the main menu for the game ( such as start new game, load game etc). by having both of them in the same main directory where NWN originally has theirs, I get the error message. Maybe on the Windows version there is a specific .tlk directory but the Mac version just puts it in the main. Also I have NWN version 1.65 if that matters.

You need to find the FireFly .TLK file and put it in your TLK directory. You probably put it in your HAK directory by mistake :) TLK files go in the TLK directory, HAK files in the HAK directory. Hope that helps!

Well, I downloaded all the required haks and put them where they are suppose to be,( I hope) and it still will not start up. I keep getting a message stating " could not find required custom talk table". Not sure what else to do.

The firearms use an OnHit to give the weapon sounds/effects. Unlike the full D20 modern haks it was a lot easier for Forrestwolf to implement and gives builders more freedom on modifying it for more weapons/etc. His later FireFly system uses OnAttacked for the NPCs, giving more reliable results.. Hi Von_Django! I haven't worked on Spotted Plains in AGES, it WAS going to be a western-based PW. My daughter is taking all my time so I've just been working on small modifications on my existing PW to keep my fingers limber {smiles}
