Description
This module was originally used for the Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons tournament at Origins 79, and was the first in series of modules from TSR, the Competition Series. An adventuring group becomes lost and stumbles onto the hidden shrine of Tamoachan which is part of an ancient ruined city. This module draws heavily on Aztec influences. Many of the items in the modules have descriptions and occasionally a specific class, ability score, skill or feat may be required to complete a task or see a particular option in a dialog. If one character can not solve a particular puzzle another may be able to. Many objects and items in the module have descriptions and can be examined or used. The module is heavy on tricks and traps, with some fighting. It is light on role playing. Many thanks to Lord Sullivan, for the wonderful HAK file he created. I am very pleased I was able to include it in this module.
What's the name of the area for the hidden section? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them. Thanks, Steve

WOW -My favorite NWN experience so far!!! My 11th level solo PC is blowing through the fights, but it does not take away from totally immersive atmosphere. This is a TRUE dungeon crawl. I do NOT want to miss anything in this mod and I am taking my sweet time exploring... I have yet to come to the Couatl room, but I am hoping I can use my Wolf companion to properly "complete" the room without having to bash the door to escape as a solo player... I used Animal Empathy to dominate the Giant Crab. Nice fella if you take the time to know him. ;o)

Hi Sarah, I know it needs the CEP and the error you described comes up when someone doesn't have the CEP installed. I did not know that if you have only the current CEP there is a problem. I'm guessing this will affect all four modules I have created, they were all written with earlier versions of the CEP. I'm glad you figured it out, and I hope you enjoy the module. Ah! I think I may have it - apparently I need to install the old CEP 1.68 as well as the new CEP 2, in order to be able to play mods created for the earlier version. I'll give it a whirl...

Hi there! Just trying to load the module, am a newbie with NWN 1.68, just installed the CEP v2.0. When trying to create a character in C1, I get the same "custom talk table required" error; opening the module in the Toolset tells me I need a bucketload of CEP hakpaks such as ceptexture, cepportrait, etc. These don't come with the CEP v2.0. What do I do? Please could you advise? Thanks, Sarah

Twar_Blackshire, Thank you for the rating and kind post. I greatly appreciated it. I'm both a lazy proofreader and a bad proofreader, and let me tell you that's not a good combo. On subsequent modules, I have had help from others with the proofing and it's gotten better. I am working on a new version of this module for Neverwinter Nights 2. I have stopped work for a bit and I am playing NWN2, but once I'm through it, I'll start my work again. Cheers, ENoa4 _________________________ ENoa4 http://enoa4rpg.blogspot.com

Well done!!! (insert one person clapping). I absolutely had a blast with this conversion. The best part for me was just how well you scripted some of the rooms, and your use of altering tiles was worth the download in itself! It definately wasn't overly difficult, but you still could feel a sense of dread from room to room. The whole 'what's around the corner' fear was evident. The descriptions were good, and the custom changes found in creatures, and items really helped the mod to feel more real. My only problem, which I've been noticing in most mods, is that many builders just don't take the time to fix spelling and grammar errors. This simply takes a bit away from the whole 'other world' experience and reminds you that someone didn't spell something correctly. This however barely took any enjoyment away from the mod as a whole. Minus the spelling errors this is a definate '10'. Cheers and thanks for your hard work! Twar.
