Description
This living hand, now warm and capable
Of earnest grasping, would, if it were cold
And in the icy silence of the tomb,
So haunt thy days and chill thy dreaming nights
That thou would wish thine own heart dry of blood
So in my veins red life might stream again,
And thou be conscience-calm'd-see here it is-
I hold it towards you.
- John Keats, "This Living Hand"
Ravenloft: A Requiem For Jander is stand-alone module that was slated to be the first in a series of DM-friendly, multiplayer-type modules, set in the AD&D campaign world of Ravenloft. Alas, the Mists work in strange ways and the series was never completed, but who knows what the future might hold.
Please keep in mind; this mod was designed for use with a DM. That doesnt mean you cannot play it solo without a DM, but do not expect any quests or NPC conversations as most of the NPCs in the module are non-scripted. This module was heavily influenced by Christie Goldens book, Vampire of the Mists and her subsequent short stories, set in the realm of Ravenloft. I cannot think of any better writer that conveys the setting that is Ravenloft.
An excellent DM Manual for the module, written by Lilivati, has been provided as well.
It is highly recommended that you give it a read before DMing the module. You can also find a promo trailer that was made for this adventure at the link below however, its not needed in any way. Ive also recently updated the module to CEP 2.0, in case any DMs wanted to take advantage of the wonderful content included in that package.
Above all else, have fun! Turn off the lights, open the window shutters, light a candle and enjoy!

Great mod with great atmosphere. Highly recommend. _________________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons.
You are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
downloaded this mod after playing my first NWN Connections game with it (thanks lillivati and poetic, was good fun!).
Thinking about learning to DM, but also just wanted to load it up as a player to run it through once more. But when I tried it said the module couldn't be loaded because a custom talk table is missing. Any ideas folks?
Hey Poetic, since it didn't work on my Mac, could you please make a store module with all the custom items from this mod?
Inquiring minds always want to know what goodies there are! _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Arawen - thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will pass that on to Lili as well.
Steve - I'm sorry it wouldn't run as expected on your Mac - that was a rather weird occurence. Thank you for your consideration though. :)
Poetic, due to what a very nice Arawen said to me, I will change the vote to what it would be if it were to work perfectly. He or she is right. I shouldn't downscore you because of a compatibility issue.
I do have the latest g5 iMac so hardware shouldn't be in issue.
I don't know what it is. But I'll give you a 10 because I would've enjoyed it if I could save properly. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Poetic Colossus has designed great adventure that has captured the chilling, dread of Ravenloft in ways that should be unforgettable to most players. Lilivati's DM guide is also top-notch, making it easy for a new DM to run the game very quickly.
One of the reviewers posted that this module is not compatible with Macintosh computers. However, this module uses only Bioware and CEP content so the problem is not Macintosh incompatibility. The most frequently used CEP placeables in this module are ones that I have used myself in my own campaign games with a Macintosh player, so there is nothing inherently incompatible with Macintosh in this module's design.
It is possible that the Macintosh player who thought that this module was not compatible with Macs may have experienced a limitation related to CPU speed, RAM or video card.
This module has fantastic Ravenloft visual atmosphere, but given its area sizes, scripting, and visual density, the module is designed for a fast server on broadband with lots of RAM, and players with good video cards. I'd recommend that players' computers meet at least HotU's recommended specs for memory, video card, and CPU speed. Servers who host this game while playing/DMing at the same time on a single machine should have a least one GB of RAM.
Thank you again Poetic Colossus and Lilivati, I hope to see more of your DM-Friendly modules in the future!

The Dms really got us on our Toes. We were always running away from something to fall right into another trap... Really great. This is the kind of module that keeps me coming back to this game.

Fantastic module. This was a lot of fun with many opportunities for group interaction. The ambience of the areas helped create a very intense atmosphere.

This was a fantastic module! I mean every aspect of the module was superb. You put the DM guide together very well. It took me about an hour to read everything and go through the module as a DM setting off all the triggers and getting to know all the NPCs. The story was simple yet deep and meaningful. It was very easy to bring the NPCs to life and understand all there motivations and roles. The dark foreboding atmosphere was present through out the module keeping everybody on there toes. Some of them actually jumped when Annisa turned into the red widow (I built that one up nicely I sent a tell to one of the party members that something was up but not the others. None of them believed him until I sprung the trap. It was great!). I loved that the she was at the beginning setting the tone for the whole session. I cannot say enough great things about this module. I am going to be using this module from now on for all my one shot needs. It was just what I have been looking for. I cannot wait for the second one.

I was in one of Poetic Colossus' one-shots of this module. It is a great module. I can remember are plot and my daring paladin Jena Shineholme so vividly even though it has been many months.
