It is said that you ascended to the throne of Cania, the great archdevil Mephistopheles bound to your service by your use of his True Name. News from the depths of the Nine Hells is ever unreliable, but some claim that he served you faithfully, bowing and scraping before you even as he longed for your mortal life to expire. Some tales relate that Mephistopheles would attempt to trick you as he did the Valsharess. Other tales relate that the gods themselves would intervene and alter your fate. Intended for an evil PC that finished HotU; requires SoU + HotU + 1.66.
Libita, you may be correct that there is no rapier in the armory at the beginning of the module. I'll add one in a future release. However, your character should already have the best rapier in the game from HotU, Radiant Death.

Is it possible to get a hold of a Rapier? I had to create a new character for this who is pretty Rapier-reliant (Dev. Crit.). _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

A superb module that continue HoU, I found this module by the search engine, type the key word "the Valsharess". And play by chance. "Mephistopheles" is real the most tricky opponent for PC... I know he might be killed in the next module, but hope this is not the end of him. Though, personally, I would like a "chaotic neutral" PC... but this module is still good enough to be given 10/10. Now I am playing "War for Cania", that continues from the gods themselves, I am playing a powerful fighter(for deadly critical hit) mix 10 level pale master(immune to critical hit). The info from dialogs says PC is toward immortal, will this come true? Also, I expect "the Valsharess" is able to appear in the future module... This is a fine module and keep good work to the continuous series

Short and sweet - with the emphasis on the latter. This series of modules seems to develop a story that really is appropriate for a character of post-HotU levels. Good writing; beatiful cut-scenes. A lot of skill checks. Nice role-play opportunities. And being able to pick one's favorite version of the Doom song is pretty cool. : ) Thank you, Haildodge. _________________________ Forgotten Realms Weave

Most excellent. Too bad it was short.

Well , being a supreme lazybones, I am just getting around to voting for the hundred or so worthy mods I think warrant votes. This module is top notch. I went through a Campaign, starting with Shadows of Undrentide, then TomG's SQ1, then Hordes ,becoming a PaleMaster and using Messy's True Name in the end, then onto your post hordes gems. Your post Hordes series has a great story, immpressive dialogue, no bugs.My PaleMaster hated fighting Mystra though.8) I will be waiting for your next work. Thx for the great fun.

Very high quality and fun to play. I recommend anyone who plays this one to immediately begin playing "The War for Cania" followed by "Monastery of the Flaming Star". Although this mod is short, the quality of the content within more than makes up for that. SPOILERS: The only complaint story wise that I have with the module is just how easily the player character is pushed around by Mystra and Eilistraee when they did what they did... I just think it would have been better to have made it seem more challenging for them. My character took a massive ego blow as a result, but slaying Eilistraee provided some satisfaction. However, that raises an interesting question... having killed the Goddess what does that mean for my character? Is he technically harboring her essence now... could he potentially become a god similar in the way Cyric did? All that being said looking forward in the series... being back in Faerun and Mystra's meddling has cost my character much. He now has a base of operations now - is it possible that he could kill the Chosen or do something to lure Mystra into battle... thereby killing her as well? My character is desperate for vengeance. *laughs*
