Description
Just before Samuel Meladon arrived in Anvid City to hunt for Tarnn, the Virtues told him that Solanor had a plot to kidnap his friend, Kaeri Rastin, the daughter of the good Duke Rastin. Samuel arrived in Anvid too late to save Kaeri. Samuel calls upon a group of less experienced heroes to prepare a rescue. Youll only have one day to assault the dark castle and free Kaeri from the clutches of Bloodspeth, the vampire, before night falls and Kalyl the Lord of Vampires arrives to take Kaeri away. But Solanor will not have his plans spoiled. He has assigned a few of his servants to protect the dark castle. But these are not ordinary villains. They are the most cunning and scheming villains you will ever face - for they are played by real players! This is TLR PvP Quests: Team competitive role playing. A unique combination of role playing and PvP. This module is highly replayable. Expect a completely different experience each time.

Had a great with this last year during NWNCon 5.
Pros:
+ Pretty good PVP (Good vs Evil) short module
Cons:
- Possibly too easy for the Evil team (Boomer and I crushed the good guys over and over)
- Players may want to know about the neutral areas beforehand

I put the map up as a graphic. Apparently you can't post .jpg files as just files any more.
Bruce, when will TLR 5 be available? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Thanks for bring it up Steve. Yeah, I noticed it (I always read things by Carlo.) :) Hey, I'm trying to get a hold of you. I just sent you an email. Hope to hear from you.
Hey Bruce, I had my computer taken in for repairs and it wiped out some of my character files.
Could you please create a mini mod that gives you all the tokens so I don't have to play each mod over again?
Thanks,

Oh I would so love to make a new PvP mod. I'd also love to finish TLR 5. I had a baby 7 months ago and she isn't sleeping through the night yet. I keep telling myself that as soon as life returns to normal I'll get back at module creation. :(
Thanks for writing about enjoying my mod. If you haven't posted a mod before you have no idea how much it means to us budding game designers. :)

Wanted to give out a big thanks.
We have a small group (4-5) that just finished our 3rd game. Perfect game to mix up our normal adventuring nights. Even with 1 vs 3 we are having a great slugg-fest and trash talking over TeamSpek. The Key-hunt maze map was great.
Any chance of new PvP Quest mod?

And with that I'll add, onto my favorite Death Trap.
Let's see if I can remember how to do it without your walkthrough this time. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Replaying TLR with another character.
I was curious, are you going to update so the end of each module unloads into the next modules? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Steve,
It's hard to answer your question. TLR 3 is "kind of dark" too, from a certain point of view. TLR 5 will be darker than TLR 3, I think, but with a happier ending, hopefully. Boy, that doesn't make much sense, does it? In any case, I will be revisting the death trap story a bit to wrap up most of the current loose ends.
Oh goodie! So TLR 5 will be like TLR 2? Will it be kind of dark based on my description of 2? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Steve_Savicki,
Current story outline for TLR 5 is about the size of the Children. We'll see if I have the energy to carry through with that design.
I'm glad you liked my little story in TLR 2. In fact, it will be even more meaningful once you finally get to play TLR 5.
Bruce, say I have an "evil" mind, but Death Trap was my favorite because of it's darkness... to be thrown into the pit only to have Bugbears above laughing at you.
Then you discover the wizard who created the trap got the taste of his own medicine.
So in a sense, it has a little story to it. :)
When will TLR 5 be coming out? Will it be big like Children or small like Death Trap? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Steve_Savicki,
Thanks for the tip to Maximus on this mod. It's sort of an inbetween. I thought he wasn't putting it in the HoF because it was too different from the rest of the series.
And I'm shocked that your favorite is DeathTrap. I don't think *anyone* has told me DeathTrap is their favorite before. Everyone either says "yeah, it was good" or "I hated it - it had no story." But no one ever says it's their favorite.
And thanks for rating my modules too.

Steve,
No I am still working on TLR 5. I haven't gotten very far with it yet, but I haven't stopped yet. I did an outline for the story for another DM and I am working on the area design for my own online campaign. This will eventually become the basis for the final module in the series.
So was part 4 the final part of the Light Reborn series? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Steve_Savicki,
I'm afraid this is NOT TLR 5. And no, it can't currently be played single player. (I started on a single player verison and never finished.) This is a "side story" that takes place during TLR 4 with a different set of characters and it's set in a PvP setting. I have always wanted to try out making a PvP story based module. This was my first attempt at it. It picked up a bit of a following at The Light Reborn Guild, so you might want to check there if you're interested in playing it on the internet to try it out.
Hi Bruce. Is this like Light Reborn part 5?
Can I play it single player? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

The initial release of version 1.59 had a fatal flaw. If you downloaded 1.59 on 12/29 or 12/30 you should re-download it.

Oops, I discovered that the IP for the open server changes. But you can always find it under "Team" game types. There typically aren't many there, so just look for it. If you've wanted to try this game but don't know enough people, this is probably a good way to do it.
