This is a persistent world set in a role playing world, which I DM'd for over a dozen years. The time period is roughly equivalent to the high middle ages with some similarities in attitudes and life style. I attempt to create a more pro-active world where the player is just another character on the stage of life, albeit an important one. Success in this world will be achieved by the player who appreciates subtlety. I don't mean success in gaining levels, per se, but in getting the most out of what the module has to offer. Thanks.
Gameplay Length
Depending on class and faction you can take multiple paths with different characters. Some factions will hate you once you join an opposed faction. Others will develop a hate for you if you go around killing them.
Remember, factions have allies. For an explanation of the factions click the link below for the forums. Information about various aspects of the game world can be accessed there.
The full flavor of what this world contains would be best experienced with a moderate number of player say 12-20 of various factions and alignments. Different groups would have conflicting objectives and follow varied paths to achieve their ends.

Classes
ShadowDancer as a class is prohibited. Though there is a cloak which rangers/rougues can wear which gives hips.
Devastating Critical is disallowed.
PickPocket is optional, currently active, though you can disallow it by uncommenting the code.
Many items are restricted by class/level. You must not only be of that class but also a certain level to use them.
A few tag-based items such as acolyte staves base their power on the number of levels you have in those classes. The item gains in power as you do.
The roleplaying aspect is added through the relavance of faction relationships. This is a somewhat heavy-handed approach, and you don't have to join a faction. You can be truely neutral if your character is so, or paritally neutral either politically or religiously. Various advantages and diadvantages apply as you would expect. True neutrals don't have many enemies, but they don't have many friends either.
Multiclassing is based on my own personal bias and years of Dm'ing. You can develop classes concurently as long as they are within 12 levels of eachother. You could be a 12/12/12 in Fighter/Rogue/Weaponmaster for instance, and have 4 more levels to throw into classes, or any combination as long as (class1 !> 12 class2, class3) This is not arbitrary but based on my implementaion of the nature of my campaign world. It is of course adjustable by changing values in the on level up, as are other restrictions. The world exists, as well as I could replicate the campaign on which it is based.
Progress Report: 89% Complete. Currently there are about 160 areas. Most of the major cities have been placed, but only Trilus is complete.
Updated leader crystal so that both leader and party member must be in outdoor areas, with a few exceptions, to use it.
Updated Faction Rescue Rod. Find it under Items/Custom/Special.
This rod is mostly a dm tool which will raise the users faction by 25 with all factions.
Added various npc's Drow Masterscout, Knights, Ghost Rider, and Eil Murderhugh has now taken up station at the Stumble Inn in Trilus. See him to find the alternate path to see the Smith. It may be hard to find Killer Kyle at the thieves guild, but he is there.
Added Shrine of Homaran
Factions:
You get a msg (rather long) each time you enter the server reflecting your current standing with all factions.
Started working on the Faction Administrations. These are your homes where superior items and upgrades specific to your faction can be purchased. Only Hashara and Altanea are left to do. The upgrade path for all factions both religious and political should be done soon.
Tweaked the xp so it's less generous. Added horses
Added subdue
Various and other sundry tweaks.
Server only, game cannot be saved. Requires CEP 2.0 and 1.68
Find it on Gamespy: Rolepay/Malbara/Second God War

The module also contains various tag-based items I developed.
The death system has a bleed down feature with the possibility of divine intervention, so having a friend to pull the monsters off you as you bleed may well save your life.
The fact that you cannot save your progress only means that you must start server exe. to save your progress as all things are persistent. You can still play the module without starting server exe but you can't save it.
The spawning system is a combination of NESS, Bioware's, and my own random spawner(s). This combination adds a great deal of uncertainty to what will spawn and to what degree. Couple this with my own tinkering with the ai and you have a very dangerous world. Monsters don't just wait for you to come kill them. They are after you.
A lot of what I have done is based on my experience as a Dm. i.e. My understanding of player psychology. This is a world for experienced, thoughful, players, and it's tough.
Special thanks to TBP/Gordzylla, Vuldrick Garrison, Alleyslink and Shargast.
To do list:
Put in the McWhiskey north/south
Link up various areas with the underground river. Finish Ssu and Drow
Add more content for higher level > 25th level pc's.
Finish the amulet upgrades and fill out the home towns.
Sure.. Thanks for your interest. I will try to answer any questions you have in regarding my module.

I have been thinking a bit about that. I have some things to do but I am a bit lazy these days, but as more people show an interest it will probably get me motivated. Thanks for the comments.

I just started playing this with a friend. Pretty darn cool so far. Are you going to put that fog change script in this module? I saw your post on the Bioware boards. Looking forward to more! - Qlippoth

I should also mention that this module relies heavily on the great work done by the very talented scripters whose systems it employs as detailed in the list above. At times it has been a challenge to get everything to play nice with eatheother. I would also be remiss not to point out the excellent job Bioware and it's employees have done in regard to support. The module in it's current form would never have seen the light of day without all of their efforts.
