Description
This is a straightforward Hack and Slash adventure. There are many quests to do, but they are mostly linear. It takes you from 1st to near 20th level in about 10 hours.

I have played this twice, and come to the point where people in the village thta I need to talk to are hostile.
Don't know what to do. I may continue and see what happens, but don't know if this is expected.

Great adventure! I couldn't get it to work at frist because I had CEP v2, but I went back and restalled the older CEP, and it worked great.

Finally finished the mod. I've played a lot of nwn mods and even though part two is out, I still enjoyed this mod. I like the challenge and thought that it built up well. The plot is simply, but it's a hack and slash. Now I have a character ready to do some dragon hunting!

There we go

I have decided to change vote to a 10 based on Steve Savsiki's 1. I ahve oticed that he has doine this a few times and then he recommends mods that are not finished or pretty average. I know we all have our own thoughts about certain things but he is beginning to cheese me off.

Does anyone know how to get into the crypt in the lost glade? I've tried entering through the stone in the center of the map, but I'm clicking on the entrance point, but can't get in.
Comments:
The game is pretty good overall, but its kind of tedious having to go back and forth and selling things. Thanks for the little resting point in the middle, but there needs to be an easier way to get back to the shop. A few more healing potions would be helpful too. I'll vote when I'm done.
This hack'n'slash mod can be fun at times. But there are spelling errors throughout the module. The journal should have been used for the quests instead of having to look at a piece of paper.
At least one quest was broken; I got a journal entry that I had killed a green dragon, when I encountered no such thing.
The resting restrictions were annoying, especially coupled with the shops not being open at night. Paying for a room at the inn, and going to rest till dawn so I can sell my loot, only to be told I'm not tired, is a game breaker for me.
No vote, as I only vote on mods I finish.

Just wanted to add my vote, and say how much I enjoyed playing! I finally found out where the spy was (right under my nose all the time) because I simply didn't read the clue.
The only reason I didn't vote a full 10 is because I don't like the "rest-only-after-8-hours-system", but as others have said before me, you get used to it.
I stretched it out, took my time, and had over 550K at game's end! Thanks for several days & nights of fun! :-)

Great hack and slash module, especially considering its time!

Ok, just in case anyone that hasn't found it yet is still wondering - it's not in the village at all, but about halfway up the mountain! (It was a fun crypt for my Paladin character, and had lots of undead and goodies to be found!)
Hope this helps any in my footsteps!
Now, where/who the heck is that spy. . .?

Hi folks!
I'm having fun so far playing this mod, but I need a little help/hint/push in the right direction with 2 things:
[1] How do I find the spy? I looked all over the Inn, rested there overnight, even stood outside all night long once - I just never see the guy! What am I missing?
[2] How do I enter the "secret" area to the west? I can see the opening on my screen (at the edge of the stream) but I cannot enter it. What am I doing wrong?
ok so figured out one problem and got another. for the talk table you have to make a tlk folder and put all the tlk files except dialog into it. now im missing haks but technically i got them. im missing ceptexture.hak, cepportrait.hak, cepplace.hak, cepcreature.hak, cepbaseitem.hak, cepanatomy.hak, and cep1patch.hak. all except the last are part of the 2.0 CEP core haks. ??? does this mean i have to install v1.01 of cep too??
Im 3rd person to have this problem so i hope a answer will be forth coming. when atemting to load the module it says im missing a custom talk table. what talk tables are required and where do i get them?

Paul, I am a Macintosh user and thus have no toolset. Can't be guilty of not having any mods if I can't have the ability to make them. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Thanks,
Steve

@Steve
If you're going to vote 1 for this - what do you have left for "mY furst mod - kill teh g0blinz" ?

Thanks Morgennes, fun and short... can't ask for a better comment :-)

Made me think of Diablo.
I did it with a level 1 monk (21 toward the end, 22 at the end of the mod).
It's fun because it's short.
Thank you !

instakiller,
There are no epic levels for NWN2.
There was also no storyline, which is the main reason for my low vote. Just random odd jobs. _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
Thanks,
Steve

I thought this was a pretty good hack and slash. Steve if you look at the date this module was created, it is over 2 years old, so this adventure has been around awhile. I found it very difficult, I can't see how you went strieght for the boss and said it was too easy, you must have started with a higher level character, than 1st level.
I would like to see a fun hack and slash like this one, but designed for epic level... why don't you get on that Lew?? Maybe for NWN2.
This adventure doesn't win any awards, but a 1 is a little harsh don't you think?
cannot load the module-missing required custom talk table-please help
Posted by nwn_player at 2007-02-14 07:50:06 Voted 10.00 on 02/14/07
Does this module really deserve a 10? Not really, it does not have a great story, or any great scripts, however, since it is exactly what the designer said it would be, and the fact it is simply a HOOT to play, it gets my perfect vote. The story is a little weak, but that is to be expected. The rest restrictions are a pain at first, only being able to rest every 8 hours of game time, you can tell the designer is a PnP gamer. However, there is an abundant of potions and one shot items to keep you fighting until rest time.
Like the man said, it is a hack and slash, and doesnt pretend to be anything different, BUT, give it a try, some parts are quite clever. He did a great job of working in a realistic way of having you fight EVERY monster in the game, all in one adventure.
Well this mod proves you don't need great dialogue and plot to have fun. Good one. Look forward to more sophisticated work from the author.
Good fight scenes with some tough fights for a single PC even with a good build.
SPOILERS
Make sure your PC has a real good discipline skill because many of the Bosses and higher henchmen use knockdown quite a bit.
Paladin Fighter I finished at level 17. Crimson fell rather easily I'm afraid because he could't fit through the cave door and I had enough room to hose him down with a bow of some kind of unlimited ammo. Might wanna fix that.
I never found or killed Ember or the Bandit Chief (Although I mowed down the Bandit Cave easily enough). Also I couldn't finish the Drow cave (the best dungeon in the mod) because for some reason the Mindflayer tileset does not work on my system...the game doesnt crash I just levitate above the room and can't get out or interact with anything. I tried re-saving the mod using aurora but that dont work.
Also I never could get intot he wizard's Tower becasue that too was bugged and I walked right over it...lol.
No matter...my PC build was sound and there is enough good stuff inthe game to kill the Dragon without the "special" dragon killer stuff. The mod may be linear but at least it isnt a bottleneck.
Some advice...with newer and newer graphics cards coming ut I would suggest people keep their mods as open ended as possible or at least provide a work around cause some of these tilesets bomb out.

I played through this module twice, the second time I was not a Paladin. I liked the cute attention to detail as I robed the houses in town :-)
Great hack and slash.

Correct hack&slash adventure, perfectly balanced monster; monster-type combination in so little space is a bad point for me and plotline is a little weak too. Funny to play.

Great hack and slash, yet the plot is good enough to make you wanna' finish. Good work!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great fun if you're in the mood for lots of bloodletting.
