Just posting a comment as I am rather new to building a PW and building in general....I have CEP 2.2 and would love to implement your crafting system because it was used in the Mod that I previously played on...Howerver It appears as if a 2.2 Crafting system from you isn't available...what do I need to use the new CEP and your crafting system?
Unfortunately the DM client will not work with Ambrosia PW.
The problem appears to be memory-related in regards to how the DM client handles the multitudes of blueprints in the module itself. The only way to make the Dm client work is to literally delete hundreds or even thousands of blueprints before running the module.
Bioware saw fit to not address this issue to date, and I honestly doubt that it will be addressed at any point in the future.
However, for Ambrosia, this is kind-of a good thing, as Ambrosia is intended to be DM-interference free anyways.

Hi, love your tradeskill package! you're mod is pretty nice too (from the 3 hours ive spent playing in it) , but one thing seems to be wrong (although I'm 99% sure it's my computer) but I cannot use DM client with it :(((
I have all the haks required, i have NOT touched anything in the mod.
Any thing you can advise to get the DM client working for this?

For the spawner, you will need to open up the local variables on the spawner object itself, and modify the 'sResRef' variable to match the resref of the creature you wish to spawn from it.
I apologize for not replying sooner, but I have been away from NWN for awhile and happened to stop by to check up on things today.

First of all thankyou for an excellent module my family and i are enjoying it very much.
My difficulty is that i have made several new areas and tasks to complete but i cannot spawn in the fellow i created to give them out, I have created a placeable with the tag UOA_SPAWN and given it the name of the char , but to no avail i just get kobolds, any help would be welcomed and cherished

Many downloads have completed successfully to this point without any CRC errors, which leads me to believe 1 of 2 things:
1) The server host has bad disk space which has corrupted the files (very unlikely)
2) 'line noise' occured during your download of the hakpaks. (most likely to have happened)
I would suggest re-downloading the smallest of the hakpaks and checking again to see if the file is still corrupted. If it is not, then it was most likely line noise. If it still comes back as corrupt, I will download one of them myself and see if it is corrupt for me as well. If it comes back as corrupt for me I will re-uploadad the originals.

I made the same mistake once when trying to run an internal standalone server to test stuff when in early early alpha.. and couldnt figure out why the module woudl load but not allow me to login to check the module's status and 'playability'
Took me more than aday of tinkering with it.. slapped my forhead when I realized what I had forgotten to do hehe. I find that the talktable is the most common problem hehe.

Hello, I just downloaded all the above listed files, namely these:

When I try to load the module it gives me an error "Could not load the Module. Missing required custom talk table." I looked but I see no mention of a tlk file or any other that I may need. Could you please offer a suggestion. BTW I'm running NWN with SoU and HoU updated fully to version 1.66.8074.
Apologies for needing to post v0.4 beta 4a as a bugfix, but there were 2 major problems with v0.4 beta 4.
Both were 'exploits' of a sort, and were unintentional.. and both have been addressed. Another issue was a mistake which did not affect gameplay per se except for the fact that cows were not spawning properly.
These issues have been addressed and the update is now posted for download.
Again, sincerest apologie son this, as it was unintentional, and as far as I am concerned the v0.4 beta 4 module itself was sub-par and needed immediate rectification.

The newest version of the module will be available shortly, and includes many improved features over the current version, including an alpha-state version of the persisten housing system which allows players to literally place their own houses and modify the interiors without DM or builder assistance.
The new version (still being worked on) is currently up to 419 areas, including 50 used strictly for player housing. (Dynamic system involved, so more than 50 placed houses are allowed in the system.)
More information will be posted when the update is posted for download.

There is a quasi-heartbeat that runs on the 'timekeeper' placeable object in the non-PC area. It counts to 5 every placeable heartbeat.. then runs the spawner script for every area that currently contains aPC.. and only for the areas that contain the PC.
Look for the scripts _uoa_spawn_* -and- _uoa_spn_* for the spawner system.

How are critters spawned in Amborsia? I see placeables that appear to be spawners of some sort... but I dont see any HB scripts or anything else that calls for the creatures to spawn... what am I missing?
I wish to apologize to anyone who has downloaded the _uoa_patch101.hak file in the last.. oh 24-48 hours.. I accidentally included an older .set file for the ttf01.set in the hakpak.. and as a result, anyone entering the forested areas in this version of the module would have their client crash.
I have corrected the problem and re-uploaded the hakpak with the proper .set file.
Again, I sincerely apologize to anyone whom had this happen to them, and I promise to be a *lot* more careful with future updates.
If you had downloaded the _uoa_patch101.hak file within the last 48 hours, you should re-download the file. Its listed as the same name here on nwvault.. but the .rar should be named: UOA_PATCH101Fixed.rar and will contain the corrected hakpak.

Apologies for the delay in this update.. I know I promised it last week.. but I got into assisting with playtesting an update of UOACraft for another module and was mostly busy there.
I have finalized this update.. but the module itself (and many of the new systems included) are far from complete.
Please note.. this is a BETA version, and will still have the probability of bugs and unexpected behavior. The server, however, is stable, and is capable of running for days on end, depending on traffic.

There are a few areas at the fringes.. mainly mountainous areas in Ardonis, and mountains in Tarmona.. oh and the desert and jungle areas in Tarmona as well.. which have few, if any spawners placed as of yet.
Your best bet to find the spawns currently is to start as either a human or an elf... and choose the 'Path of Light' and pick either Eldoran, Ardisian, Tarmonan, or one of the elven races if ya happen to be an elf or half-elf. Dwarves are currently started in the mountains in the open cos I dont have their cities built yet, and although Halforcs have their village, there are no internal areas as of yet for the village.
Once I have updated a bit of my crafting system.. in about 1 weeks time.. I will return to working on Ambrosia and get some more viable content installed to the module for the next update.

Those areas have stuff in them, but you have to remain in the area for longer than 30 seconds for the creatures to begin spawning. The spawner is set on a 30 second spawn cycle. Spawns are random in number based on a specific range of possibilities for each individual spawner. Eventually, after 2-3 minutes, there will be more than 30-40 NPC's or creatures in the area (well most areas.. a few are still being developed hehe) much more than that at any 1 time will bring a server to a crawl due to pathfinding issues and heartbeat scripts and OnPerception scripts, etc.
The design is this way for two reasons.
1) If you are just 'running from point a to point b' there wont be creatures in your way or slowing down the server by taking up resources... especially if you have no intention of sticking around and fighting them.
2) If you intend to combat the creatures in the area, the longer you stay in the area the more intense the battles can become... because no matter where you are within the area.. just being 'in' the area will cause the creatures to spawn for that area.. regardless of if you are resting, away from the keyboard, or playing doctor with another gamer. And in some areas it will get your character killed if you dont pay attention.
Believe me.. the action can be quite fast-paced.. unless you are using the test area to artificially level-up a character to level 40.. and even then things can be a little fast-paced depending on which areas you are in.
Dont worry though.. more content is being added in the next release. ;) Now that the 2 main continents are mapped, work can begin on the internal areas (such as caves and houses and dungeons and temples and crypts and other such locations)

Nice areas but nothing in them, no people, animals, buildings you can enter. No way to enter caves, no descriptions as to race or God selection.Downloaded all haks what is going on.
Hrmm.. I had no idea the hak had been renamed with the companion v1.50, as I have not personally downloaded it.. (I didnt have the old link) I would rename the file for the time being and Ill get the new version for the next update.
