...the HeX coda 02 has unfortunately been cancelled. However, half the game is here in playable form, and a detailed story synopsis with dialogue and plot notes is included so you can enjoy the remainder of the twists and secrets of the series. Thank you for your support!

I hope someday it's get finished:)
Maybe even HeX coda 3? If that's not hopeless..
- "wnat" - typo in Pandy's first conversation
- Kith on board of the hex flyer has the same conversation as the first one
- undead archer should summon undead badger, not an alive one
- can't really swap Oxy with any other member aboard the hex flyer _________________________ Thanks Rolo:)

Such a shame this mod was never finished.. One of the best I've played, it contains such creativity and humor. I loooove Daniel. *Sigh*
I'm getting from the comments here that the alloy caverns are supposed to be part of this incomplete yet finished release. Pray tell, where would the entrance be?
I have to say that these were truly great modules the characters, the story, the world all fascinating. It is indeed unfortunate that it will never be completed. Though I can understand you would wish to wash your hands of it after so many frustrations. Just know that out of all the mods I've played even incomplete it is in my top 3. _________________________ Dying's easy Living's hard

VERY imaginative module with a great story -- it's a shame that the whole thing wasn't completed (although you can read about how the sequel was supposed to end).

It was personally devastating to me when I learned that 02 would never be finished, way back, as I'd been following along with development shortly after it'd stopped developing, praying it would progress. It took me some time to get over this. After a while, though, I did, and I'm extremely grateful for what's there, even if it's not finished. I've been trying to play other NWN modules lately and none seem to live up to HeX Coda.

I recently played this (and the first mod in the series) because I believed it would be worth it with the full story notes included, so the player would not be left hanging story-wise. (One of my main beefs with all the "Part I" mods in the Hall of Fame that never see a Part II). In that regard, the series does not disappoint. I found this module more compelling and stronger than the first, even, with fresher ideas and a plot that just reached out and gripped you. Thanks go to Stefan for taking the time to finish the series in words. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing, given what kind of creative product could have been experienced in-game if the project had been completed, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Its kind of hard to rate this as its only half a game, and also a little hard to enjoy as it seems like it was something of a soul crushing experience to make, but what is here is great. The creativity and humour in these modules are the best Ive seen and what was planned for the rest of the game would have been incredible, but at least there is a summary to give some closure.

It may be incomplete, but what was there was thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, Stefan, for sharing the HeX Coda with us!

Regrettably, an unfinished game; though its story is very engaging and intriguing. While others may plan to recreate this seris, I doubt the final game would be as good as what Stefan had created. Considering that the most shining part of the game is the dialogs, it is almost impossible to find someone who can mimick the writing style of Stefan and re-create the game with the same atmosphere. Sigh... I wish Stefan can come back to finish this game.

I found myself a little disappointed when I learned that this series would be incomplete, but that feeling passed once I read your story summary.
Since the module itself is incomplete, I will give it a 9, but if this were a book (and I think writing is your true calling) it would easily be a 10.
With that said, your module is fantastic even if the story wouldn't have been good, and I thank you for giving me and many others this experience.

I'm protesting. I've waited a very long time for this second one to be finished - now it's been canned? :( The first one was without question one of the best modules I have ever played! I played a druid through it. lol It was still top-notch. ;) I'll have to mark this off of my Christmas wishlist. _________________________ 'A rose by any other name is just someone surrounded by a bunch of pricks!' - HeCK

Making a team? In that case, I'll write dialogue. I'm working of a trilogy of my own, but I should have time to do this one.
Awesome. Let's... make a team to finish this, if Stefan doesn't mind? I know there was some talk.

Just plain fantastic modules! This was just as good as Hex1! Enjoyed what was greatly. Really tragic that it never got finished. Thank you Stefan Gagne for your fabulous work! I would have voted a 10 if this was finished, believe me.
I really hope you will make mods for NWN2...

What is finished is great, but doesn't deserve a higher rating as it isn't complete.

Fantastic module. It makes me incredible sad to learn that there may not be anything further. But seriously, fantastic module. I thought the EE series to be the pinnacle of your achievements, and then along comes the HeX. :)

I don't honestly know. However, the story's already written, and that's a large part of it. I don't think it would take too long, personally.
Posted by YorgosD at 2006-12-20 07:29:34 Voted 9.75
Interesting point, but do you have any idea how much work it takes such a complicated module? Even a team would need months to finish it, and until then the interest for NWN1 will be greatly decreased.
Posted by IceHammer at 2006-12-19 16:41:38 Voted 10.00
I wouldn't be so sure about that, YorgosD. NWN2 is supposedly not very good, plus many people don't have it, or would still play NWN1 for a suficiently good module. I think a team would be a good idea, and I'd join if one got started.
Posted by YorgosD at 2006-12-17 16:11:59 Voted 9.75
I'd suggest forming a team to complete this masterpiece... but I doubt if there's any point in this now that NWN2 came out. Perhaps in the future we can start converting some of the best NWN modules to NWN (and then there would be a point in finishing the Hex Coda 02).
