This classic PnP module has beed redeveloped for Neverwinter Nights at the present time. There is an optional introductory movie that may be downloaded. It will be played as the module starts and provides important background information. If you do not download the optional movie, this background information will be presented in text format on a sign as the module starts.
Gazing down form the pinnacle of Hardway Mountain, who would not be drawn by the far-off glint of the Serpent's Eye? The descent will be hard, the mountains know neither mercy nor compassion. Many are the lessons to be learned, but fate has left you little choiceare you equal to the challenge?
Eye of the Serpent was originally a one-on-one wilderness adventure module for one player and one Dungeon Master, and has been designed to develop the specialist skills of a first level druid, ranger, or monk character. It could also be used for a normal party of 2-4 first level player characters. This Neverwinter Nights conversion will capture the original module as much as possible.

Good Module!

Hey There,
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if installing 1.5 over 2.2 or 2.0 will work. I do know there is a file in 1.5.x which is required. That was the current build of the CEP when I stopped modding for NWN1.
I recently installed NWN (Diamond Edition), updated to 1.69, then installed CEP 2.2.
After installing module files, it won't load module and says there are missing HAK files.
If an earlier version of CEP needs to be installed before installing 2.2, how can I uninstall 2.2? Or will installing 1.52 over 2.2 just simply install the needed files? I've tried this with no luck so far.

Just finished it, and it was a great classic adventure. The atmosphere in the dwarven towers and tunnels was superb, my only complaint is that it wasn't long enough.

A fun wilderness adventure. I enjoyed the fact that this module wasn't some epic quest to slay an evil whatsit. Those are fun too, but it's nice to have change of pace like trying to find your way off a deadly mountain. The area layout was well done, giving the feeling of a much larger area than actually existed. The bog scripting was clever too. I'll be interested to see how it plays in a multiplayer setting. A good module, thanks.

Hi Micon,
I hear you, I'm sorry you've become frustrated. I did not have an opportunity to open the mod in the toolset last night, I had family obligations, but I will try to open it up and take a look as soon as I can.
Modules should be enjoyable, I get very frustrated myself when I get stuck in the manner you are describing. Again it's unfortunate this has become so difficult for you.
If you can email me, I might be able to mark up a screen shot of the swamp and email it to you. You can email [email protected] if you'd like. No pressure of course.
well I have tried every sq centimeter of Slough mires the burrows? all the tunnels and the other bog. sorry every thing goes baack its too torturous and putting it mildly very frustrating. I have bbeen marking map pins everywhere and I am totally at sea with the logic. when a game gets like this its becomes unenjoyable cause you don't know what to do or where to go all avenues are explored ostensibly. the answer is probably staring me in the face but I cannot see it. too many back trail passes. Lost in the bog _________________________ micon
I'll try again from a saved game but basically i have been trying to go downhill but all them tunnells lead back up.
cheers wish I could get a handle on nwn1 scripting but its a steep learning curve for a non programmer. _________________________ micon

It's been a while, I'll have to open it up to take a look. As I recall you generally need to be pushing south or if you have made it most of the way through then east a bit. I will do some digging. _________________________ ENoa4 http://enoa4rpg.blogspot.com

Are you in the Roc's nest? If so grab the rope and walk to the edge of the nest. You will see a dialog option allowing you to use the rope to climb down. If you are stuck somewhere else let me know and I'll try my best to help.
I cannot rate this yet as I am totally stuck at a point early in game and need help on this please.
"You see a safe way down the cliff...into a warmer looking portion of the valley below." I cannot find this 'trigger' tried clicking all around being careful not randomly at high speed in sheer frustration at least until I gave up. Is there a a way around. ? help appreciated as so far great. _________________________ micon

Nice use of both the custom and standard tilesets and the CEP placeables to create some visually interesting areas. Also some interesting scripts, including the bog script. On the other hand, the number of dialogue options for each henchmen should have been reduced, as some weren't necessary (like asking the fighter if he can cast dispel magic). Also, if there's some kind of benefit for rescuing Linden, I didn't find it. Mostly though, I wasn't really all that into the module. Wandering through the wilderness might be interesting in a PnP module, but it wasn't all that interesting here. Also, except for one instance, I didn't see anything really ranger or druid-specific in the module.

Hey!
Thanks for the kind rating and the post. I am glad you are enjoying the blog. That commercial is pretty darned funny.
I'll post on the forum, if I can find a good place to do so! Hopefully I've got the gumption to see the project through.

Hi ENoa4 - it is a very cool blog that you've set up! :) It is part of my checking-out-cool-NWN-related-blogs-routine now. I can't leave comments at the moment, but perhaps I'll get some relevant account or something... Not that I'd have anything useful to say. But I must say that the old D&D commercial was unbeliavable/hilarious! :D
Anyway, good luck with the project. You might wish to announce the project of yours in the NWN2 Modules forum, by the way..?
Hi i tried to play your module but it comes up with need custom talk table to run it, this has happened with other modules i have tried to play also, do you know this file/table and where i can find it please?

Hi Ylurien,
Thanks for checking out the module. I am glad you liked it. The statue is hidden in a tree in the swamp just north (I think it's north) of the tower/lake. If my cardinal directions are off, it's in between the lake and a waterfall. Examine/use the tree, near where you fought the guys in the swamp, it should be there.
Linden? I'm trying to remember who he is. There are not too many NPCs in that game. Was he the pixie near the end? Not much too him just and interesting NPC that offers to help out. He was in the original PnP mod so I tried to add him in this recreation. Hope I've got the right NPC, I haven't played this mod or working on it in 9 or 10 months.
