Oh no! A fish has mysteriously vanished in the mess area! Can you sort out the mess?
Don't miss this if you like Pythons!
The download contains an optional character to play with. Put the inspectorcheese file in your localvault folder if you want to try that.
Final version.
Thank you Sharona, SCARSS, SisterCyan, and Jess for your nice comments! :)
@SisterCyan: There is definitely going to be some funny kobolds if and when I post a full module to the Vault. Notice the "if" though! I have made several areas, but I can't promise that anyone will ever see them. If so, it will likely be as part of a larger project with several other builders.
@Jess: What can I say? Umm... kobolds are stupid? I wanted to do a lot more, but... that word count limit was a serious constraint. All of the contestants complained about that, of course, so it sounds a little lame I guess. Also, it would have required a somewhat different ending and another cutscene. In the end I decided to do it like this in the hope that most players would forgive me.

Originality and funny story ! Characters and dialogs are good. It lacks some details in description of the items. Why can't Cheesy think of the real soluce ?

It might still be worth another look for those who like the music, I suppose. BTW, congrats for making the list!
Nope! The only change in this version is the snippet of music in the hak. If you played the previous version, it probably isn't worth the hazzle to download the new one.

Er, I mean in regards to the hak you just added.

Does the update contain just the added music or other additions? Just curious to see if I should download it or not, that's all ;)
Thank you Sharona, SCARSS, and Sister Cyan for their nice votes! The contest is now over, but I don't mind at all getting more comments and votes!
@Christian: It seems that I've managed to acquire some new friends during the contest, something which makes me even more happy than the placing of my module! I haven't failed to answer someone who PMed me on the Bioboards yet, so don't hesitate to contact me there!
FINAL UPDATE!
Since the Contest is now over, I have decided that I can safely use a small hak. This update comes with one such, which means that there is now some entertaining music being played at the end of the module!
Cheers!

Those little kobolds were so cute! Are all kobolds like that? I thought the solution was something like it turned out, but the module really made me laugh, so you get a good score. Are you planning to make more modules like this? _________________________ SisterCyan
congratulations! okay, i was never able to play your module, but
according to your behaviour to a totally stranger (list of text errors
- remember?) i must say that you really deserve it! :)
Omigod! I'm one of the winners?! And I was so extremely content with being tenth! This calls for a celebration!! Woohoo! *dances a merry jig!* *quaffs beer!*
Big, big thanks to all the lovely people who voted for me!

As the contest is now over, I would like to say "thank you" to all the nice people who have voted for my module. It looks like "Find the Fish!" made it to tenth place, which is far better than I had hoped!
Cheers! :)

For being one of the 2 mods that brought an exciting, fresh approach to side quests, I am proud to give you a perfect score.

This module was more enjoyable when I put myself in a Python mindset and imagined Python voices. However, it still does not really seem to allow for multiple resolutions except in a superficial way.
Also, I was surprised to be told to talk to the Supervisor, when I had already done so. It seems I lacked the patience to go through as many dialog options as are required. I would much prefer the player to have more freedom of action.

This was a fun module that really had its moments. Still, it was not perfect. I agree with almost everything that BFlowers said. A lady who knows what she is talking about!

There's nothing I find less funny than a Monty Python reference, so I think I'm not getting nearly as much out of this as everyone else. The core of the module is pretty good, with a nicely structured investigation and some fairly well realised characters. But this is far from being my favourite mystery or comedy module.

hehe! very funny. i thought star quest was more to my taste - i.e more vulgar, but yours was very funny.

One of the stand-out modules for me because of the well-done, whimsical humour and memorably quirky characters. The best thing I can say is that it made me laugh and not too many games do that (intentionally :P).

I enjoyed this one a lot. The opening cutsceen was perfect and it sets the mood. I usally don't like humorous adventures but I did like this one. The conversations had style and the npc's were downright funny. Very good writing and this one takes full advantage of journals and descriptive text. I will be keeping an eye out for more works from this author. TY

I enjoy funny modules, and this one was a pleasure. As I've said in my other votes, the entertainment came from the writing and characters and not so much from the plotting. Usually I don't like solving mysteries, but the dialogue was so much fun to read that I didn't mind in this case.

Very funny and worthy of Monty Python. Always was fond of Deekin, so the characters development was an extra plus. Thanks for the cutscenes, as well. _________________________ Please don't forget to vote and leave feedback!
