easy to understand and a good story. i havent played many games where there is a moral challenge to a trial. it is usually a who done it plot.

A very good beginning for a stroy line that had me sucked in from the start. The choices in the conversation and the wording made me understand and become sympathetic with the accused, Jakob and want to know more.

The premise is strong, and it is nice to see a trial premise worked into the story logically. The dialogue can become a little one-sided at times, particularly during Jakob's story, but his story is broken up by player prompts often enough to not allow it to become monotonous.

A very interesting module, obviously written for the morally challenged

ive known tim for a long time and it never ceases to amaze me how deep he is willing to go in a story line. his module is fun because it gives the player a chance to guage his morality on the subject of jakob. we all know he killed the guy, but was it justified? love it!!

Good writing, the plot would benefit from more evidence from the other side to make the decision harder.

A man has been murdered and we only get to hear the murderer's side of the story. It would have helped if, say, a ledger or journal belonging to the victim had been found containing evidence in the case. You did not use up the word allotment, so there was room for some such thing. Otherwise, it was well written and with good character development. It works as a side-quest, where the result of the PCs choice could affect later play.

Rather linear. Rancher not a medieval term. Played three endings.

It must be frustrating for mod makers how some mediocre mods get plenty of attention, while their own better than average ones get hardly any votes at all.
This is not a bad module at all. The 'judging a murder' theme is not novel in this contest, but here it gets a different twist. Also, I was very pleased that at the start a plausible reason was given why the character is put in charge of the investigation. I find those mods where a random passerby gets to decide between life and death rather stretching the limits of imagination.
On the negative side: My female elf was addressed as 'Sir'. Sigh. That kind of sloppyness makes me sad. Also, the middle part of the module was more the telling of a story than an interactive game.
My apologies regarding the expansion requirement. This is my first mod. and I at the time did not realize that if an expansion is installed, all mods made will require it, even if that expansion's features aren't used.
