Description
Lolth is dead. After slaying the Queen of the Demonweb Pits you return home through one of her portals.
For seven long years you rest, somehow it never seems right to leave the safety of your ranch - why should you? Let the outside world deal with their own affairs!. You are content to live your life in peace but someone has found you, someone who owes you his life. What he says will shatter your dreams and send you once more into the world of the Drow.
hello there! Love the module, it's excellent if you're looking for a high-level hack & slash mod. The only problem is I'm using a wizard and the game won't let me rest no matter what! Could I have some info on that please? I really want to go on but it's impossible without my spells!!!
Hey there I just got back into NWN because my PC's down and I'm stuck using my laptop. I REALLY want to play this mod, but when I go to load my character, I get an error message that I'm missing a custom talk table. I have the latest NWN patch and the latest CEP files. I even copied and pasted the dialog.tlk file from the main directory into the tlk file. It's 4:30 in the morning and I don't have enough energy left to figure it out. Please give me any advice you can ASAP...I've got two days off in a row coming up and I want to burn through this module. THANKS!!

Hi Steve
No, I have decided that the current story is long enough with 8 mods. However I am currently familiarising myself with NWN2 toolset and hope to do another epic story (Possibly linked in some way to the G1-Q2 story) though I don't expect them to be ready any time soon. _________________________ Trev

Is there going to be a q3? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.
A-ha! I have finally sussed it. My race was set to wood elf and for some reason the HCR applied the ability modifiers on entering the mod, even though I had had the standard elven ability modifiers applied at character creation. Took character into a modification module, set race to pure elven et voila, stats restored to normal!
Hi Bagga7
Just loaded up a new (elf) pc and there were no stats affected. Since I did not place any scripts either I can only put this down to either a rule I don't know about or a glitch with your PC. _________________________ Trev
Hi Bagga7 ,
Not aware of this happening to anyone else - though you might just be keener eyed than most. I will check it out if I get a moment and report back. _________________________ Trev
Just started playing Q2 last night, after a break from high-level gaming. Playing MP with the characters we completed G1-3,D1-3 and Q1 with, but I noticed a slight problem; when my character appears in the lodge at the beginning, her INT and CHA are both reduced by 2. For the record, I am using an Elven Fighter 15, Weapon Master 4. If I start any other mod, the stats are fine, is this intentional (a plot point I haven't discovered yet) or a bug?
Hi all, I am extremely sorry for the long delay in fixing this mod. Real Life has had a major impact on my free time of late.
I have changed the mods death script (and had it tested) so now you get an option to respawn (with penalty!) or await help from a ress spell or device.
Once again - Sorry for the delay. _________________________ Trev
I am stuck at the death bug also. I removed and reloaded the mod and I still die a few seconds after loading, Will this be fixed? Please respond. I see other comments of the same nature and they haven't been addressed.
ummmm ... this whole death thing really sucks ... I understand about hard core rules and such, but I was playing sol, my son had an emergency (no I didn't press ESC to pause ... I was pre-occupied), my character died and now all the hard work to get to Q2 means nothing ... I can't finish ... :o( .... help!!!

I also got nailed by the death issue listed above. I even used an earlier exported character. So, if I understand this correctly, a character is tagged as dead in a saved game. How does this follow a character? I went back to an earlier save, I manage to walk about three feet, and then BAM! I'm down and dead. This sucks as we played through all the giant and previous drow mods with these characters... any info helpful.
thanks.

Hey Trev, will this fix be the latest 1.67 patch update? _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

I really think its because it uses databases to store the hp. Thats the way it is done at persistent worlds.
But at campaigns, where the player saves and reloads, the database wont reload and thinks that the player should be still dead.
If you want to store the hp in campaigns dont use databases but SetLocalInt, ect...
This way each save game will have the hp saved on its own.
For the players, try this: Reload, wait till you are respawned (in what ever area) and reload again.

Sorry I have been unable to reply earlier - Im in the middle of changing ISP and have not had web access at home.
I hope to have a fix posted by the weekend.
Be aware however that if a character has died (and not been ressurected) in ANY HCR mod then the character is tagged as dead and will not be usable in ANY HCR mod including this one. This tagging should of course be removed when you load an earlier save so it does seem like there is a bug (one which did not appear during beta testing). The odd thing is, the mod is built on a stable base mod which I have used for the whole series.
Once again sorry for the delay but rest assured I am on the case.
If anyone has E-Mailed me in the last few days, I will reply if and when I get my mail up and running again.

i got that dying problem 2 in single player. when i relaod i got full hp but paralyzed and get killed a second later. than the too many commands error...
But i reloaded succesful b4. maybe its because i quittet after being killed and/or got a henchman.
Do you use the nwn database to store the hp?
DJ1 I will have a look at it asap as I have had another mail fairly similar. Could be the glitch occured on the upload rather than the d/load of the mod.
Dodds2, thanks for your comments _________________________ Trev

Excellent Mod - CT mod brings a lot of new elements that I've never seen before.
(GAME ENDING BUG ALERT-multiplayer)
Trev,
First of all, as another old-timer I can really appreciate the care you put into these pnp conversions. I don't recall a Q2 so I assume this is home grown. I would really like to play this but you've got me stuck with a new one. I can't even restart the module.
Minor spoiler?--------
We are playing multiplayer (always) and ran into a game ending snag. While escaping, a drow priestess killed me with an implosion ("Escape" area I think) and I went to the fugue plane to await my resurrection. Unfortunately, my corpse went to the fugue plane with me so J couldn't resurrect me. I figured it was no problem because we had saved after the shadow dragon, however, the early save killed my character on arrival with the same fugue corpse problem. It was still early in the game , so I restarted entirely and had the same problem (dropped dead in my ranch). I loaded with a completely different character and he dropped dead in my ranch! We both re-downloaded the module from the vault and restarted the game and I dropped dead in my ranch! I'm no scripter, but there seems to be a problem. Even if there's no quick fix, is there a DM tool that would allow us to continue?
Thanks,
D
ps- J is running the server machine and I'm logged in to her. I don't know if that helps.
pps-Maybe it's bad karma for not voting on your earlier mods yet? lol _________________________ "In life, one and one don't make two. One and one make one."
