I've taken it upon myself to fix some bugs in this mod. I think I've squished most of the show stoppers, but if you find any more, let me know.. There my still be a few quirks, so file any bug reports here. Most important, bosses that don't spawn, quests that don't update. slikster

Original Description:

This is a completely freeform hack&slash module set in and around the city of Leilon (between Neverwinter and Waterdeep).

Features:
- Five different guilds to join.
- Random quests.
- Randomly created items.
- Player item enchantment.
- Arena combat.
- Supports adventures from level 1 to 40.
- Map that allows quick travel in city.
- Over 20 different dungeons.

Did I break the Warrior Quests? Trying to kill the Hobgobblin Chief in Iniarv's Tower, and I can't find him ANYWHERE!!! The tower has reset several times, I keep getting those pesky Bugbears on the first floor, and have even solved another quest for a different guild in the Tower. But still, no Hobgobblin. Loving the open-ended quests, the new equipment as levels increase, but I don't want to start over if I don't have to... help me find the Hobgobblin.

Used this to pick up a few levels to bring my Bard to another module. Perfect for this purpose.

I liked the random quests/encounters/items deal. Very Daggerfall-esque. Probably not the only module of its type on the Vault, but I doubt many of the others are as well done as this one. The area design is solid, the writing (though limited) is good, the custom creatures are built well, and the teleportation map makes sure that the gameplay is not bogged down by endless walking.

One major complaint for me -- the encampment quests. I stayed away from them after completing the first one. I understand you can sneak past the sentries, but if you're spotted the swarms of guards you have to deal with is ridiculous. I don't need 10 guards spawning at every tent entrance, then spawning -again- after I deal with them all, not to mention spawning as I leave the tent so that I'm surrounded. How do all those guards even fit inside the tents. It's too much. Respawning in general was a nuisance. It's necessary to keep areas stocked for repeated quests, but it'd be nice if it wouldn't occur while you're inside said areas.

I can see clearing the same enemies out of the same areas getting boring after a while. But the quest XP rewards are very large, so you don't need to spend much time if you're just here to pick up a few levels. I'm not sure if this is intended as a leveling module, but I can't really see it maintaining player interest for very long without a main story thread.

Wow, this is pretty nice. Fun world to explore with a lot of different settings; the icy Sword Mountains and the dry Old Owl's Well (I believe that is the name, heh!) Breaking into houses is entertaining as well.

Just one problem so far I'm trying to work around involving a quest to guard a Caravan, from the Mage's Guild. My Level 21 wizard casts Dragon Knight, summons a Red Dragon and begins blasting everything with varying degrees of effectiveness.

When I'm going around to mop up the survivors, (They ran away from the Dragon's Aura of Fear) The 20 round duration expires and my dragon is gone; as it fades out, so does EVERYBODY else. Then I'm stranded. I imagine it has something to do with a summoned creature either dying or being unsummoned, because they vanish when I die as well... which is likely intentional.

Lost my save file so that's all I can tell you. Thanks for the bugfixes, silkster!

This looks promising. I think I'll give it a shot and come back for a vote. It's tough to find a good adventure for a level twenty wizard, you know? I'm sick of levels one through ten! :)

This sounds really good... unfortunately, my boyfriend played this and told me one of the missions kept crashing the game when he reached Level 27. I have asked him for more information to pinpoint the bug, but he can't remember recalling which mission, where, and when, so I do apologise about this. But I thought I'd let you know, regardless ;) Once this bug has been ironed out, we'll definitely both be giving it a try again. Actually, I'll give this a whirl, and see if I can find it myself/see if the same occurs, and get back to you on this one, considering it's going to take you ages to track this issue down!

When I talk to teh Arena master I get a ? error? The convo still works but it look s ugly. I was talking to him as a Halfling Fighter (lvl 2).

I have a Warriors Guild quest to kill a criminal at the Mard household. But when I go to the Mard household my only options are to knock on the door and tell the servent nevermind or break in and fight the guards.

Hi guys. I can't seem to get the mod uploaded on my crappy dialup connection. I'll contact maximus and see if there is an ftp server for the vault I can submit it to. Or, failing that, I can put it up on my webspace and see if maximus can grab it from there. Sorry, I'm not going to publicly post my webspace address. If none of that works, I'll get it up next weekend (July 29/30) when I get access to a high speed connection.
