Depending on how you decide to play, it could take longer or not as long as four hours. If you just try to get to the end as fast as you can, you could probably finish in two.
Ao has created a legion of monstrocities, called Deathbringers, who threaten the entire fate of Toril. You have ventured to their lair to terminate them, but your mission is not as easy as it seems. Akenvrantas lies at the tower's peak.
The sequel is out!!! Search for "IOTD Part 2: Wrath of an Angel" now!

I'm afraid I found the adventure much too easy. I entered the game with a L30 character (F23/WM7) and very quickly put my character in his weakest armor, discarded his shield, chose his weakest weapon (changing only for the 1-second combat with Cronos), and cranked up the difficulty to the most difficult level. Nonetheless, it was a walk-through. I think part of the problem may have been a bug in the algorithm for awarding XP. I found my character leveling up (on one occasion two levels) after almost every combat. By the time he progressed to the top level he was already at L39, leaving him no room to advance in IOTD2. Fortunately, I did not export the character at any point, so I can try IOTD2 with the character back at L30.
Nonetheless, high rating, if only because the author is one of the few who understands English grammar. Congratulations on both a literate and interesting, if all too easy, module.

Correct epic hack&slash, but the plotline is quite strange and the faerun ambientation is rare

I intended the Akenvrantas fight to be one of the most difficult fights the PC will encounter, in this module or any other. The Ao fight was to just finish off the game (for those of us who played FFVII, kind of like how Seraph Sephiroth was the real final boss, but then you fought Sephiroth again, just with Cloud. However, that was a fight you literally could not lose). Ao is the lord of the gods, but there is a keen difference between a god and his avatar. And Akenvrantas has a sword dealing damage equal to half your hp, which makes him a b**ch for fighters, hence the reason you can respawn endlessly without fear of having to travel through where you've been again. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

I really enjoy this module. It is basically hack & slash, which mainly i don't like it very much. However this module is very good. I haven't found a bug or a problem. However, the final battle with Akenvrantas is impossible hard. I have LV 40 fighter, with +8 longsword and AC 50, and haste and other defences, i hit him less than half times, i damage him less than 30hp and he attack me and do 300 dmg. (When i try with another character i have (but have godlike items) i kill him with 3 hits). Except that the battle with AO is toooooo easy. I kill him with no difficulty and he don't do to me more than 100 hp damage. You probably need to chance this two battles. Make AO more difficult (he is the lord of gods after all) and make Akenvrantas more easy.
However, except these two battle, the others is more balance and generall is a very good hack & slash module.

Thank you. Yes, that sword thing is a bug, although it could be useful for others in your predicament. I don't know why it acted up like you said, because it didn't on my game, but thank you for the vote, I hope you play (and enjoy) the sequel. I tried again with a few different +20 weapons, including the greatsword I got off Odin, still no luck. I kept seeing "you cannot damage target with your current weapon", and he was uninjured. But, and I assume this is a bug, I noticed that on loading a saved game Odin's sword had another charge of its unique power (I had already used it on Cronos). So, I used that again and presto, Akky was gone. And yes, I was talking about Shadow Akenvrantas. Anyway, that got me past him and the door opened and I went on from there and finished the mod. Good job, it was fun.

Door behind him? If you found the last one, there shouldn't be a door behind him. If you're talking about Shadow Akenvrantas, you probably just need a stronger weapon to bypass damage reduction. However, if you are using a +20 weapon, I don't know what the problem could be.
As for the sword question, there are *four* pieces; blade, hilt, pommel, and scabbard. Place them in the forge, wait a few seconds, and a flash of light will come. Open the forge again, and a nice little sword will be in its inventory (possibly second page, depending on how you placed the components). _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Ok, I'm stumped. Found Akenvrantas, but can't seem to damage him at all. Also can't open the door behind him, sooo... ?
Also found three pieces of a sword, put them in the forge, nothing happens. Is something supposed to?

It's coming!!! "IOTD Part 2: Wrath of an Angel" has been bumped up. I predicted I would have it finished in Spring: now I think I can have it ready in a matter of weeks! So close. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Okay, spoke a little too soon. My computer won't upload the images, don't ask why. I had a couple showing my PC fighting some sharks underwater and defending a merchant ship out at sea from troglodytes. But take my word for it, it's pretty cool. Yup, it will be. I might tone Akenvrantas down a *little* bit (kills you a wee bit too fast), but I have ideas for some special powers of his. I'm posting sneak peak screenshots of the new game. Enjoy. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Just thought I'd post some more goodies for you fans out there. If you didn't notice before, one of Akenvrantas' weapons deals damage equivalent to half its target's current hp. You know you want this sword. Well now you can have it. I put it on the vault, but in order for a PC to use it, the script must be in the module you're playing (as in, don't expect it to be effective in any other modules, though you could manually put it into the OC and have much fun there). _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

It is. Judging from the comments I've heard about the insane computer prerequisites for playing NWN2, I'm probably not even going to get it. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Good news! I'm making a sequel to this module, expected to be finished around March or so. It's going to be much more expansive, plot-oriented, and fun than this one, as opposed to the whole "just kill everything". Whether you enjoy the originial IOTD or not, I'm confident that the sequel will make you happy. Look for "IOTD Part 2: Wrath of a Fallen Angel" this spring. If you thought Akenvrantas was awesome before, just wait... _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Thank you for your vote. The only thing I didn't like was the respawning system. I didn't think it would make sense if you just went back to the beginning of the tower, so I just didn't place a respawn point (not that that makes much sense, either). _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Ah, yes, I've been told of that problem by another and am working on it currently. Message me on the Bioware forums (ThanatosRules) or come back here every so often and I'll let you know when I've fixed it. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Yeah, I noticed the now 36 downloads occuring. That's all right though, since the only problem I think survived is a few items left on the floor in Purgatory. I added some new stuff in lately and am going to replace the above file with the new and improved v1.68 module soon, though. Thinking about making a sequel, too. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!
*Sighs* Why are they letting Authors vote? sheesh, either ways just wanted to note that you've had 26 downloads, i don't think many people will be abiding by your request...afterall everyone can download anything here, just my thought.
Cheers!
P.S. Don't worry about me downloading your mod, i don't really have the time to go thru it :| _________________________ Don't do to a friend what you wouldn't want him to do to you.

When the module is ready for public release, I'll change the above description. Also, I'm thinking about making small improvements and changes in the module once I update to v1.68. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!
