Attacked by a neighbor's prized dog, you kill it in self-defense. But you are required to pay the dog's value, which is beyond your means. A bad streak of gambling diminishes your funds. Your neighbors are coming for your money or your blood! You must flee for your life.

Cimmerian Justice takes place in R.E. Howard's Hyboria in the country of Cimmeria. The player must start out as a 1st level or higher barbarian, though they may switch classes later on. Less than 4th level is recommended.
This is a hack and slash module.

CTP Release 1 only requires the CTP_Dwarven_Halls hakpack not the entire download. You can find the individual download for that hack at the same page.
This is a combination of 5 ATOM hakpacks. If he updates his hakpacks, this will also be updated. Also text file with original addresses. Used in all four module versions.
This hakpack is not necessary if you will be playing the CEP 1.68 or CEP 2.0 versions, as the creatures already exist there. Also text file with original addresses. Used only in NWN-SOU-HOTU 1.68 version.
Comes with hakpack of 2DAs, Mertail.hak, 3 text files and 3 versions of module: NWN-SOU-HOTU 1.68, CEP 1.68, CEP 2.0. Now has CEP 1.68 module with Bioware Cloaks and 4 versions of HMC 2 mod-holder with merchant for getting rid of loot. The merchant is greedy. Armor now uses CEP coverings. Non-CEP appearances fixed.
Hmm. Playing the CEP 2 version and I'm at the Gates of Oresh and can't seem to do anything other than sell to the Gypsy Chief. Seems like a trigger is missing, but even with nothing in override I didn't find anything. It's not the end, is it?

Decent hack and slash outing. I only wish there weren't so many "no turning back" passages.
Old game. Different CEP versions have come out since. That's what the CEP Team decided not me. I'll check on making a CEP 2 compatible version. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
"Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "cep1patch153.hak"

Completed it and finished as a 1/3 barb/clr. Would have been an idea to have a scene with ref to killing of dog and why it was so important.
Took a couple of routes and found the myconids very tough so backtracked and ended up going through temple. Due to lack of potions and resting areas in some places, dying was inevitable (although I suppose I could have played normal or easy mode) BUT respawn with no penalty is a bit of a gripe for me. But no option as potions were very limited and as I mentioned resting also non existant in some areas. Not bad though.

Nice hak and slash module. Did only one of the possible endings. I had lots of barbarian fun. Thanks for uploading the module.
Actually there are 3 or 4 places to rest. Inside a building for one. There are also 9 or 10 potions, 6 of which are cure light wounds. You also have 3 creature NPCs to help take some of the damage, if you didn't kill them. And you have move silently to sneak up and get the first attack.
Bows don't work in confined quarters because they need an arc. It was supposed to be a challenge, not easy. I only died once in 10 tries, and the monsters had higher damage and hit points then. Use your speed to fight only 1 creature at a time. Play it smart and you'll live, plus gain 3 levels. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
Unplayable IMHO. You have your axe (no bow), your armor and 3 potions. You can fight and/or you can run. Where can you rest (did not find a single area where resting was possible)? If you stand and fight all the way you will use all your potions soon enough and die. The hero should be able to rest often enough or to gather necessary healing potions on the way. Combat balance is always the key and even more in a heavy H&S module.
Mike check out the excellent "Pirates of Hyboria" by Geoff&Bri certainly the best Conan type module to date.
Now if I can just get you to vote on Heroes of Krynn to the right. I'm only 2 votes away from the HOF. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

A very fine effort - from what I believe to be Mike's first mod.
I wish to admit that I am not a REH fan, nor particularly a Barbarian player. Once I started this mod, however, I immediately overcame my reservations and enjoyed it.
Mike has included a thoughtful strategic hack and slash romp that took my Barbarian from leve 2- 4 in about 5 hours.
Thoughtful in the layout designs, strategic in the combat.
Congrat Mike - I look forward to more of your work.

An error was created in the non-CEP version that could cause crashes when entering one of four areas with spiderlings and beetles. These creatures lost their appearances and didn't show up at all. They have been fixed in version 1.04 on 9 November. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
I downloaded everything for this mod and installed it. But I am getting a hak error. The list of the two haks unable to unpack are below. Maybe you can shed some light for me on what I missed?
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "hmc1_cep.hak"
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "ctp_dwarf_hall.hak"
Thank you
