From the Sword Coast to Icewind Dale and everywhere in between.
Gameplay Length
Approximately 7 hours; could be much less if you opt to rush through.
Number Players
1 and 1 only. You could play with more, but the experience would be drastically different and you may not be able to finish, due to the excessive use of the GetFirstPC() function.
This is the second installment of my "Island of the Deathbringers" trilogy. For the 1st part, search for "Island of the Deathbringers".
"Wrath of an Angel" takes place over 200 years after the first IOTD, and features new enemies, a thicker plot line, and many new and exciting areas. If you liked IOTD, you'll love Wrath of an Angel. Even if you didn't remotely like the original, I'm still confident you'll love this one.
Please let me know if you have any problems whatsoever, by e-mailing me at [email protected] or PMing me on the nwn bioware forums (ThanatosRules).
NOTE: It has come to my attention that the hakpak in this mod is under the wrong name. Please change it to "iotdportrait.hak", or whatever name the module says it requires of you. I sincerely apologize for this mistake.
Do not download this module; take the one below instead. I'm keeping this one just to keep track of the total download count. I'm a narcissist like that.
I really enjoyed IOTD1 and am enjoying 2 as well, however I have a problem. I've made it to Baldurs Gate after doing scads of quests and in the small house, I found the suicide note on the dead man. The guy in the nearby bar told me to take it to the priest at the temple of Helm, but when I did, I couldn't get the priest to say anything about the note other than to ask me if I needed healing etc. Have I missed something, or done something out of order? Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be an end to the game.

Okay, boys and girls, IOTD Part 3 has been released. Have fun, you crazy kids. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

This module is really a plot-developer. It's hard to come up with new and exciting ways to challenge PCs after the things I did in IOTD1 (emphasis on the "new"). Instead of focusing on the combat aspect, I tried things like random encounters (on the merchant ship and caravans), strange areas, and good plot detail. The hak slash is nearly non-existant in Part 3 ('cept for in the beginning), which just concludes the story by leaving it completely in the hands of the player. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

This module is a good one but not as enjoyable as the first one in the series. The biggest problem, in my own oppinion, is that is too easy. I use the same character after the end of one, and when in the first i have some problems, in the second one it is walking in the park. I only find difficult the two prismatic dragons, but not too much. The final battle with Akenvrantas is very easy. I think that you should increase the difficult, so that the module is more enjoyable.

i tried to open the second chapter in the toolset and it told me i was missing portraits.hak. could this be the problem with the crashes?

That's all right, I understand. But you could skip ahead to chapter 2, just for kicks. ;) _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

Downloaded the zipped file again and unzipped. Replaced the previous ones. Two .mod, into modules; five .tga, into portraits; one .2da, into portraits; one iotd2hak.hak, into hak; still no read me. Restarted mod with a new character. Same result-it crashes every time entering the sword coast. Can't give a rating, since it's unplayable for me.

Well, I put a readme in the zipped file, but there have been reports of some people not getting it. Put the iotd2portraits file in your portraits folder (if you don't have one, make one, just name it "portraits"). If the game crashes when you enter the sword coast, it is not because you have anything named incorrectly (neither the hak nor the portraits are used until the second chapter). I have not yet heard of any such troubles, and my computer loads the area just fine, but perhaps your computer has had trouble downloading the file, which would explain why you didn't get a readme. _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!

what do I do with the iotd2portaits.2da file? Is this why the mod crashes when I try to enter the sword coast? Or is it because I don't have the hak file named correctly? A read me sure would help.
