Description
You were captured by slavers, but fortune has freed you and left you stranded on an island where strange forces are at work. What has happened to the villagers? Why are living things becoming corrupted?
Fans of pulp fantasy and Lovecraft should enjoy this.

Certainly worth a try.
I have to agree with the crowd on this one.
I hate item strip but in this case it would have made sense. The module would certainly be a lot more challenging if we only use the armors/weapons found on the island.
7: A good module with some issues, but worth the download for almost anyone.

It's been a while since I played it so my recollection is a bit fuzzy.
A very nice little module, with great atmosphere and good NPC's. There were some minor bug-like issues (I remember a mausuleum having an inaccesible ladder or something) but nothing too distracting.
I can recommend it to all, and would like to thank Vaultmember Berra for bringing it to my attention.

Finaly, after more than a year, I was able to finish this mod. This time the mod didn't crash.

Played with a party of 5 level 1 PCs over at Neverwinter Connections, took about three hours.
Pros:
-- Scenario set up well for multiplayer intro (everybody washes ashore from the slaver ship).
-- Combat was generally well-balanced, when things went bad it was probably our fault.
-- Good area design, including use of custom creatures and descriptions (a particularly strong point).
-- NPC conversations, while not particularly complicated, were well-written and enhanced the feel of the module.
-- Story element was relatively light, but interesting and allowed everybody to get into the Lovecraftian feel.
Cons:
-- Henchman did not have an option to be dismissed from the party; required a re-start from us at the beginning to get rid of her.
-- End fight (as mentioned previously) a little too easy, also the creature did not change to hostile faction after the conversation ended (had to attack manually).
-- No updated journal entries (although not a big deal, linear story doesn't allow you to get lost).
-- Convos didn't take into account if you were part of the same party (full replay each party member), but not too annoying.
Thanks for creating a fun, interesting module that worked well in multiplayer.

There is a problem in temple/graveyard area. Game always crashes when I try to reach the western side of a map. Eastern side is OK.

It has a great atmosphere. I enjoyed it much, but the only drawback a bit too short and and have to backtrask a lot to the first trader. Good mod anyway.

Interesting module Menigal.
Despite it being a Diablo-esque slaughter fest, it was sufficiently atmospheric and different to hold my attention. The custom creatures were entertaining, and the lighting and use of placeables were both highly creative. The henchwoman was effective, though about as interesting as a handful of dirt. Her lack of stimulating conversation was conveniently explained away by the fact that she was mute. Yet another display of weasel-like cunning on your part. I approve.
A fun jaunt, not to be missed if you're after something short, bloody and a little different from the usual "Fetch Elminster's hat from the drycleaners!" scenario.

thanks for the hint on the temple, don't believe i missed that :P
the transition seems to work fine too now.
Very nice module, and don't see any bugs in it, so 9 seems fair :)

a hack'n slash module... the evil boss is not enough good to make a challenge encounter
We play it in multi (2player 1st level) the game was too easy...
I don't enjoy linear story, the game has no bug, so i give 8.50.
Hope you will add more horror at the end (why not force player to take henchwoman, and at the end make the henchwoman at traitor (with all well equipment give by the player?)

You shouldn't need to go backwards to complete the module, but I'll have a look at that transition (look around inside the temple). I had to readjust a few things there and probably just botched that one. :p

rather nice module, however due to a bug i was unable to complete it
*SPOILER*
when i followed the path inland to the temple i was then unable to leave that area (clicking on the blue section to change screens did nothing) and so i was unable to go to the old fort and talk to the pirates.
Good module and if i had been able to complete it i'm sure it would have got even better.

I don't normally go for hack and slash modules, but your use of classic horror/fantasy as an inspiration caught my interest. Great descriptions on your custom creatures - loved 'em. Good selection of color schemes for your areas, too. I'd like to see more of your modules especially if they focus on an atmospheric storyline - like Lovecraft's tales.
