This world came to an abrupt end as a result of a business deal, where the host (myself) could no longer provide service for the group. Members of the development team truly wish to see this completely customized persistent world utilized and enjoyed.
This is the last build from the original team. The work here is to good to let go to waste with over 400 custom built maps, custom crafting system, more than 40 new races, more than 20 new classes (replacement classes) and much much more. The original CS Development Team included Choirmaster, Elara, Eldron Draco, Serion, Sightblinder, Skipper, Spherrow, Smash,Spiffles, Taskr36, and Trahern.
Please note that this world was originally designed as a heavy RP world, so you will find static content such as quests and such a bit lacking.
This file contains a number of the third party haks (mainly texture/maps) that the module utilizes. There are two zip files to that need to be down loaded; this is two of two.
This zip file contains a custom ColdShadows hak and a number of PRC hak files that have been modified in order to play in this persistent world. Please be sure to back up any existing files you may have before extracting these files into your hak directory.

Alright, I am not quite sure what went wrong, but something blew up when it went from CEP 1.5 to 2.0, and I suspect it's in the merge hak, which is already a nightmare.
I'm not 100% certain I can fix it, but I am going to try, and then post again when I have it done. I *can* get it to load in the toolset, so it's got to be something runtime in the Coldshadows_003.hak. _________________________ I detest the stupid. I delight in their demise.

Well, I'm still puzzling out the damage to the merge hak, here.
Can you tell me what's going on when you try to load it up, that might help me get it working. I'm not sure we *have* all the files, since my computer died and Eldron is ... well, if he had it he would have sent it.

I have a server available. But someone needs to send me some good files to install for hosting. The compressed files here are corrupt, only partially extracting or extracting with errors and 0-size files. Performing a ZIP repair doesn't fix them either.

As one of the Devs and DMs I'm sad that CS came to an end. We all put alot of work into it and our now focusing our efforts on a PW for NWN2.
The mature rating is largely because the CEP and PRC haks are present. As such the characters and NPCs can be in a nude or at least a near nude state. I think at least one of the inns in the game has a prostitute. We don't have any pornographic content. Calling it mature is just a better safe than sorry kind of thing.

There is still a missing file "coldshadows_cep2.hak". I installed all of the files on my laptop to verify the install process...
I know I wasn't banned, it is a test server on which I have never banned anyone. Something in the script was booting anyone logging in.
I tried commenting out all of the "boot"ing parts of the cs_mod_enter script and still I would get booted (must have missed something).
Once I disabled the script alltogether I was able to log in. I'm not sure what parts of the module are broken now, though.

I keep getting an error when I try to load the mod that the cs_cep2.tlk file is missing and it is not included in files for download.

Qlippoth: well the "cs_mod_enter", if I recall correctly, would mark a banning in the database. This would take a look at your reg key and ip address so character or dm wouldn't matter. Again, not knowing what your character build was that originally got you banned or "booted" from the server only leaves me to speculate. Additionally Choirmaster would be the appropriate person to ask regarding any scripts in the module.
As for the confusion over the coldshadows_cep2.hak / coldshadows0003.hak I'll have to look into it. If I find that we are missing the appropriate hak I will certainly update the posting and hand out credit where credit is due.

Ok, I disabled the "cs_mod_enter" script and now I can get in. I wasn't using any special character that I know of, and even my DM character was "booted".
It would also be cool if you included the website content, so I now what I'm doing. :)
Sorry, there were two issues, one solution to which could have caused the "boot" problem, the second was my explanation of the "boot" problem.
When I say I get booted I attempt to log in, then promptly receive a "You were booted" message.
The first issue I had was a missing "coldshadows_cep2.hak". I renamed the coldshadows0003.hak" and thought that would get things working.
So, now you know what I mean by booted, and you know there is a missing or misnamed Hak file in the package you released.

Qlippoth: There are a number of reasons you can get kicked from a server. You cna be missing a hak, you can have ILR activated and on a character if ILR is set, you may have an illegal character build or a combination of the above. There is no way, with the information you provided, that we can assist you.
