Fully functioning PW.
"Are you tired of logging on to a Persistent World only to spend two hours figuring out how to get out of the starting city, then promptly getting smeared by an overly-powerful monster, only to be respawned in the Fugue Plane - whereby you get to get spend a couple more hours finding someone to rez you? Well, then Netheria was designed with you in mind. There is no Fugue Plane. There are no gigantic cities to navigate. There IS plenty of action, exploration and baddies to kill. The operative word here is FUN. Netheria is an attempt to create a world where a player can log on, quickly get the gist of what's going on, and literally jump into the action - all the while still retaining the feel of a persistent-style world."

I'm going to bump my rating up to 9.5. Now that we've gotten everything working, including the HGLL system, and some script tweaks this PW rox! It quickly became the most popular mod running on my servers.
Additionally, our builders are doing a great job fixing things and making improvements. For example:
- Blocked out an exploit allowing posessed/controlled creatures from being used to kill players in the Keep, which is supposed to be a 'safe' no-PvP zone.
- Tweaked Item Nerf script to allow slightly higher limits
- Tweaked Omega Forge to allow higher forging
- Tweaked loot drops to be slightly better
- Edited some monsters to remove True Seeing skin properties
- Edited some spells to improve playability (* Ex: Harm was way over-nerfed)
We're also toying with the idea of adding evil player zones. These will be centered around light quests and action for Evil players.

I have played on the server that hosts this mod, and i'm actually not sure if this is the same (haven't really checked at all). But playing this online is amazing.
If you have the right equipment, the level recommendations are about perfect. The legendary Leveler does work, i don't believe there are any portals that do not work, etc etc. My only complaint is with the horses. I love riding around on them, but the only way you can is if you buy the horse, and from my knowledge go out to the styx then use it. Once you stable it, or it dies you have to buy a new one.
while it is true that it can be a bit rigged, i find that its not challenging at all until about level... well i'm not sure really but till about the great glacier. Once you get there, thats where your character building skills are put to the test. Along with your equipment crafting knowledge.
All in all, this is one of the greatest PW's out there, and i encourage everyone to give this a try. I haven't logged onto the server in a long while, but it used to be under pw action, netheria reborn. Everyone, the people here are extremely friendly, never hesitate to give, not lend, you gold or equipment, and are always willing to let you go with them. We need more people, to make this an even better server.

There are a lot of GREAT pros to this module, but unfortunately some cons as well. It is built very nicely, and the themed levels are very creative! We love the central hub style of navigation and the story behind some of the areas. It does make it very quick and easy to get into playing. But there are a few problems that, if fixed/updated, would have make it a truly AWESOME PW:
- Some features either don't work or dont work right, such as the character manager and legendary leveler. If something extra is required to support these features, such as NWNx, it isn't stated above.
- Some transitions/portals either don't go anywhere OR they don't indicate if there is an item or key needed to progress OR the boss only drops/spawns ONE 'key' instead of a key for each party member.
- The item nerf script was a good idea turned disaster. Seriously, this one problem was a huge irritant. There are loot/reward items designed for the game that will immediately be nerfed when equipped, and that simply shouldn't happen. Additionally, some of the areas that are supposedly for level 30-40 have mobs of monsters that are highly overpowered or outclass your party with the current item nerfs in place. It's as if the various builders/designers didn't communicate with each other about what the limitations would be for items and monsters. As a resultm some areas are seriously unbalanced for their suggested level ranges.
Now, don't mistake my criticism for disapproval. I love this module. I'm currently hosting it on 'MadDOgFargo1' under the ACTION category and I have already un-done or tweaked many of the item nerfs to allow equipment that will at least put you on-par with the mobs of monsters you'll be facing. But it really needed more playtesting and better balancing of some of the monster spawns.
I'm giving it an 8.75 as it is posted here. But with some of the tweaks mentioned above several of my players absolutely love it and I would say it's around a 9.0-9.25 with just those adjustments. If I can get the character manager and legendary leveler working again I would rate it between a 9.5-9.75.

I saw some buggy area transitions.
In the hallow of the fallen the area transition don´t work. The same in the Armiath city.
The description said "quickly get the gist of what's going on, and literally jump into the action". Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. This is just as chock-full of confusing set-up and arbitrary rules as most of the PW modules out there. The module refused to allow me to equip my helmet and said I should use the "item updater". Placing my helmet in the box (which has no instructions on its use or even an explanation for its existence) did nothing. Nothing that is, until I closed the lid and then reopened it, in which case it promptly disappeared and was not seen again. The stores had only 1-2 level gear and were needlessly separated into multiple categories, requiring you to talk to the merchant again and again to buy and sell different items. The only good point was the henchman creation system seemed to work reasonably well.
