This is an entry for Bioware's World Design Contest. A short module, roughly 20 minutes in length showcasing my ability at cut-scene, level, and puzzle scripting and design.
The module is set in Thay, during the Year of Maidens(1361) and follows the escape of two pirates, an ex-Red Wizard and a fourth adventurer(the PC) from an old Mulhorandi ruin turned into a wizard's tower.

Great action and story that kept things moving and the player interested. Starts out with action. Included the puzzle, cutscene and small scope required by the contest.

Really nice. Just a bit short. And too bad you will continue this in NWN2.

Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone In response to some of the things mentioned, I was going to add more npc encounters, especially combat ones, but since I didn't know what level the judges were going to test with I decided to err in the side of caution and keep it kinda 'easy.' Same goes for the puzzle, I wanted to go for one that wasn't too hard to solve, and also interesting to script(as an example of my programming ability). Were I not developing this mod for a contest, I would've added more encounters and a longer storyline and dungeon to explore. And to those who enjoyed it, I do intend to follow up in NwN2 with further exploits of Arragar and his pirates.

What a well made module. You definitely squeezed all you could out of NWN's limited interface. Timing during the cutscenes was perfect, I especially liked the bit at the start where the PC runs into one of the pirates and they fall over. You also made excellent use of placeables for "set dressing".
It could have used a few Red Wizards standing around in the empty parts of the tower instead of just traps though.

Great little module... I also liked the cutscenes and the nice use of the Forgotten Realms background. The characters are very well done, specially for such a short trip... to the point that, in the end, I actually wanted to know what would happen next.
Good work!

Great work, I really enjoyed this. You had me enthralled with the first cutscene, the angles were fantastic. The way you used typical Forgotten Realms speech added a lot to the immersion and so I really got into and enjoyed the setting. The puzzle was a little unorigional, and the "tips" really just told you exactly what you needed to do to solve it. At least the puzzle wasn't frustrating or boring. Other than that, I liked it all, especially the fleshed-out characters. Good luck in the competition! _________________________ City of Arabel
