It should take less than an half an hour to play through, it has multiple dialog paths and endings but really the last encounter is the only major one you cant talk through again.

Description
This is an adventure satire. Its mostly comedy, but has some rather lengthy bits of serious story. By lengthy I mean 'wordy' because I don't think any playthrough will take more than 30 minutes max.
I recommend using a new character because some fights aren't meant to be won, if you do win, the game will not end. Aside from that, it is a dialog based adventure with no combat, feel free to play as any class or race (though there's very few instances of that affecting anything)
Its version 1, meaning that this is what I produced in just over a week's time while learning how to make modules. Translation: Its got some bugs. It is playable, just don't be surprised if you break something.
So enjoy. Or not, whatever. Comments are wonderful. Votes are wonderful if they are high :D but seriously, I know it needs some fixing.
This game is rated T for gratuitous goblin slaying and mild language
known bugs:
1) you can leave the starting area without accepting the quest in the tavern. yeah, that's because I don't know how to disable area transitions.
2) you can leave your friend behind, again, same problem as before. While the first might just make you a little confused because you forgot to accept a quest, this one will break the game if a conversation requires her.
3) during scripted events if you move around too much or bump into people your friends might forget what they were doing and the plot stops. I haven't mastered cutscenes.
4) endings are rather abrupt, as I haven't made any movies and don't know how to include a text message telling the outcome.

Oh yeah, one other thing. A module description would be nice. It doesn't actually have to be what the module is about, but sometimes people download these things and come back to them hours or even months later with all other documentation deleted. It's nice to know what characters are supported by the mod (basically, gender/race/class/alignment), how difficult you personally think the mod is, and what mood it has (yours would be lighthearted or humor).
Just a small reference for the rest of us ;)

WOW! I've only just started playing, because I have to go. But what I've seen so far - wow!
Some things I'm not on board with, like bad grammar and no map pins. But the dialog is very creative and amusing. I even like your blatant use of the Mysterious Stranger.
I have to admit, I thought I was going to kill some baron's guards. That plot twist was AWESOME. It's a rare thing to see such an excellent starter module out there. I too give you a 9 for dialog, but only because of, as I said, grammar.
I'll be back later when I finish with more gushing, and a vote :)
Thanks for the comment. A 9 on Dialog? you honor me. Especially since that's the only area I really put any time into, all the events and scripting was really to make the dialog happen. I'm surprised it warrants a 5 in quality control given that I ignored ... well.. everything from doors to skills. The 'quest wizard' didn't do what I wanted at first so I just ignored it and journal entries too. I'll design a map for a later version. I don't think it deserves that 6.
As for your concerns about it being non linear... I really thought it was linear, sure the dialog branched a little, but they all lead to the same place. I'm sorry that its got a confusing layout, being so close to the module I must not have realized how little direction I gave the player. I'll do a quick walkthrough/sightseeing tour and see if I can get that file posted with the main file.
feel free to PM me on Yahoo or MSN (or in the NWN forums) my Yahoo is Fizgot, MSN is [email protected], and NWN forum name is Fizgot.
If you've got any questions, ideas, comments, or 'fix this now!' problems I'll... well honestly most of the problems are still there because I havent figured out how to fix them yet. But hey, I'm new at this. _________________________ No signature yet.
