Description
This world is really big. As a DM 8 hours + are needed to run-check every map! Only 45 spots are open on this server.We have 1319 areas, 1 major 30 part "seeker plot", and 5 PC administered guilds - Role play and some very heavy fighting.

I've added all the working versions of ROS to this post. So, downlaod, have fun and please VOTE!

ROS: The plot of this world revolves around the return from undeath of Brin Savros the destroyer. In his escape from his tomb he shattered the Zethnite Golems that were empowered to keep him in the grave. The Shards of these Gollems (each with a magical property) were scattered throughout Shargast. The task of the PC is to collect clues, speak to npc's and so find the way to these elusive shards. Once the shards are recovered the PC can build the ultimate weapon with which a victory is possible against the now reanimated Brin Savros.

Otherwise one can play non-linear in this world. It has enough depth to allow for +1000 hours of play time (no lies).

PC run guilds are in place tailering to classic good (White Rose) vs. evil (Black Knights) and not to forget good that thinks all others are evil (red Dragon templars) and lastly assassins (Black Claw). Plus 2 NPC run guilds.

Improved cleric and paladin turning abilities. Turn dead with the proper domain knocks'em down and really gets them running.

Updated with cep 2.2. This is the newest version of Shargast V5.1 - Split into 2 parts for faster loading. NWNX2 is a must for SR's. Check the guide for the IP Portal locations (they have to be adjusted with either your static or Internal IP address). If you run this module online you must either have a static IP or a simulated static IP. Also, the Sha files have to be updated with your IP address.

Wow, downloaded, launched with out Leto and NWNX first time. Had the same issues with the 2.2.TLK as other posters, but just renamed the 2.2b and it loads fine. Starting to fiddle with the Leto and the NWNX, even with out he SR, WOW. I LOVE your beginning. Lots of information, some quick help and go or lots of reading and begin. You have thought of everything in this entrance. Thanks for posting such an expansive work. I have only scratched the surface and flittled about as the DM to check out eh different TILES. Hi Entropy Was on Vacation w/o any internet (can you beleive that). Sorry bout the late reply. The treasure area can be removed (It was part of an old system). If you want to have a player driven magic system you'll have to remove Commchees treasure system. Check the nw_default_c7 file and the OnModLoad and the OnPlayerEnter. The custom tresure system allows socketed weapons (makes players after a week of playing very, very powerful). In my rerun of Shargast 3.0 we've removed all socketed items. We might add them, but with limitations. The socketed item system is installed in 5a and not in 5b. The recepts are in a store in Egaullu Plujore City Center (the wizard buliding). There are building centers in every main racial area and there are some ingredients scattered throughout Shargast. The interest in this system died out a few months after it's integration and as such I stopped concentrating on it. Your best bet is to remove it and never add such a system. Build scripted plots whre characters gain items after doing what you want them to do. Try to keep control of the magic items or the mod will run away from you. OK, didn't get the Item Level Restriction script working, but we did create items to simulate the Vampire abilities, so we got what we were after in the end :) Now, my next problem...We've started looking at the crafting system, but I'm scratching my head so far. Is it implemented "out of the box" on the 5a/5b together module, or is there something else we need to do? I read the CNR documentation, but I don't really see any harvestable resources in the mod, or any directions on how to turn them into useable items. While I'm at it, will emptying the chests in the "Treasure Area" eliminate magic drops by monsters? I'm trying to create a world where the magic comes only from the players. Yeah, I know, it's a crazy idea likely to end in frustration... Entropy67

Yo entropy67 First off thanks for your vote of confidence. As far as I understand Shayans SR you have to have item lvl restrictions turned off. Maybe there's a fix out there, but I don't think so as the abilities on certain SR's skins are rated and as such become unavailable when item lvl restrictions is turned on. The only way that I can fathom is to give uniquely scripted items to a vampire to simulate it's abilities. The Leto scripting for permanent ability changes works regardless, but the other supernatural skills get stopped cold. The skills are on the skins and the skins get rated and the system doesn't work anymore. I've reworked with help from Papa Lenin Shargast v3.0 and we've put it up in action, but without SR's. Item lvl restrictions is turned on in this version. Believe me without it your characters will get too strong to deal with "impossibly strong". Some scripting has been altered to allow characters beyond a certain lvl to use über weapons, but this can't solve the problems associated with skills on skins. Your best bet is to build quests that give items that transform your characters into strange beasts. Script the items and then everyone is happy. Good luck and drop by when you get a chance. Great mod. Thanks for releasing it to the community. I'm having trouble with one thing, however. I have set "item level restrictions" on after watching my first few players run roughshod over the starting area when I didn't have it set. One of my players is a vampire, however, and his vampire abilities don't work, citing item level restriction conflicts. Any thoughts on how to resolve that? (I thought about leveling him so that he would be high enough level, but that is only a temporary solution since he gets new vampire abilities every five levels.)

Hey Sai I think that you should get a job and stop playing vids!!! Just kidding :) I like what you did with the starting area. Just like in the good ol'days with the Rose's (what ever happeded to them). Dude, good solid work! Glad I dusted off my NWN. Seriously though...aghhh Have a good one.
