Description
The Tales of the Heart Saga begins with exploring the clashes between the Kingdom of Aerth, to the West, and the region of Gheldor to the East, richer, but politically divided into city-states, and as such vulnerable.
You are the son of the Lord of Valyria, the wondrous most important city of Gheldor, once seat to a larger Empire, and capital enemy to Aerth. Your uncle, however, usurped the throne and killed your father, sending you to exile to Folseine, nearby city-state. When the Kingdom of Aerth conquers Folseine, you are 'freed', and brought to Aerth..
Follow, then, the tale of Aerth and the blood of Valyria.. as any political intrigue,
there cannot be any scruple, nor any hesitation...
Playing Tips Level - You start at level 4 - but due to flashbacks you may experience some "fluctuations". Do not panic!
Race and Class - This module is playable with Human race character and fighting classes. As such Fighters, Paladins, Rangers are the best picks - Barbarian is also a possibility, but does not make much sense fluff-wise. Multiclassing to classes with 3/4 BAB progression such as Bards and Rogues is not very much advised, except as a 1 level dip.
Skills - I recommend all the ones strictly related to combat, such as Discipline, Taunt, Tumble.
Heal is warmly advised as healing kits are generally the main way of healing yourself, and death is final in this module. Social skills such as Intimidate, Persuade, Bluff have a few uses in the game, you should probably pick one of them if you can spare the points, but it is not required.
Exploration - Not all quests are functional to the end game, but finishing them yields nice rewards. Not all map locations are pinned in the map, so explore the areas instead of rushing to complete the main quests!
# Tales if the Heart: Valyrian's Blood is the first installment of a flashback storyline which will be completed with the second chapter Tales of the Heart: Power Play.
# Many thanks to Beerbaron72 for the beta testing.
Please signal any possible bug, or leave a comment, and a vote. And moreover, have fun. ;)
Thank you Eva, I found it an interesting and professional review. The screenshot problem was also solved the best you could. :) @OT, I was registering on the reviewer's forum as a guest, but it seems I can't exchange PM's so if you see ShiaLuck give 'er my birthday wishes. :) _________________________ Modules created [Tales of the Heart: Valyrian's Blood] [The Fall of the Eagle] [Armageddon Clock]

Sorry, Andreas. Meant to vote sooner. Looking forward to part II! _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen? NWN Reviewers Forum: Link

The mother of trolls is always pregnant, I see... don't be discouraged, Andreas: envy is a bad beast, isn't it?

Ah, hey. It'd seem the plague of troll voters will never be vanquished. Thanks for reporting some horrible spelling that so far no one else noticed. _________________________ Modules created [Tales of the Heart: Valyrian's Blood] [The Fall of the Eagle] [Armageddon Clock]

Horrible spelling and grammar ruined the roleplaying aspect for me. Story was average, not very interesting.

Hi Andreas Well, I think I sent you a message through the accounts. Hmmm...wierd. Okay...I'll shoot you an email with my question, then. No biggie, just mostly curious at this point. _________________________ Well...who would have thought THAT would happen? NWN Reviewers Forum: Link

FP, congratulations on your victory! There was hardly any competition at all. Shia, thanks for the offer of becoming a reviewer, but being a modder, it just doesn't feel so right. Anyway, if also guests can sign at your 'private' forums, we might exchange a PM or two. ;) If your Italian is rusty, there's room to fix it, if it's absent, it'll have to be built. :) _________________________ Modules created [Tales of the Heart: Valyrian's Blood] [The Fall of the Eagle] [Armageddon Clock]

*grinning at Andreas*, I fear my understanding of written Italian might well be beyond anyone's help! We shall see. I will try it. Alternatively, you could become a reviewer. It would be excellent to be able to review a non-English language module like Beerbaron's. (If he would be ok with it that is). What do you think? No? (We have 'private' forums and a PM system ;P) I am playing Revenant for review atm and then I plan on yours. With luck I might be able to give Eva 'some help' in Peer Review (aka, a hard time *evil grin*)! Though actually, she is so much faster reviewer than me I think you'll be safe! ;) Have fun :) _________________________ Check out the latest reviews of new modules: The NWVault Reviewers Guild The 'A Dance with Rogues Discussion Group'

*bows* Thank you, thank you. It was an.. unexpected turn of events. I am man enough to admit that perhaps there were modules more worthy, and am very glad to have won an award. @Shia Luck, I hope you will enjoy. If you want to play Beerbaron's mod, it's worth it if you have the time, and if you need a translator, here I am. ;) God, hope that doesn't sound too much like one the worst pick-up lines ever. :P @Eva, thank you. I am looking forward to your review. No haste here, we all have real lives overcoming NWN. :) I am confused about one thing.. did you mean e-mail? Coz I didn't know the NWVault had a PM system, and I didn't receive anything at my address. Let me know so I can reply to you.. @Beer.. ti ho già risposto in e-mail, cmq rinnovo le congratulazioni. ;) E se vai a guardare i miei post molto più vecchi, ci troverai che avevo detto che Shadewood avrebbe vinto. Non per menarmela, haha. _________________________ Modules created [Tales of the Heart: Valyrian's Blood] [The Fall of the Eagle] [Armageddon Clock]
