This is a revised version of the mod. I changed the ending so the came would not crash. I also added one more area before leaving Ravenloft. Special shout out to Leslie for letting me know about the bug. Thanks.

I am a big vampire buff so this was nice to play! It was cool to see the vampires powers in play. Made it more realistic. Awesome touch. Is this KenLamella still around? Have not seen him post anything in months. You guys probably scared him away. :(

I headed out to Castle Ravenloft....and was blown away. The monster spawn and vampire system was very intense in this one. Really knocked me back on my heels several times. (Maybe a little too intense.) I had some issues with vampires turning to mist and causing the game to crash too. The game was so intense though, and I always save around every corner (I am a scaredy cat.) it really did not matter. The crashing was a hit and miss. I think some of the scripts just could not compile correctly and that would fall on the maker of the vampire system and not the author of the mod. Wich is the reason I am voting a ten on this. The story and game was like a rollercoaster ride. Amazing.
Hack and slash? Nahhh. This has strong role play elements across the board. Don't miss this one......it's a master piece. The original I, Strahd does not crash by the way. The revised does due to some of Mutant Spicy's scripts. Again not Ken's fault. Still it's hit and miss. What can I say? Save your game more often. I had to update nwn 2 god knows how many times because it kept crashing at certain parts of the game. _________________________ Let's not mince words. Let us say what we really mean to say.

I play i stradh revise before this and is a prety solid hack and slash adventure in ravenloft setting, the only problem was the game crash every time, and the same happends with nosferatu, I donwload the revised version and nothing change, crash every time, wath happend with your mods?
Guys you just gave me my Christmas present early! Thanks for the vote and the feedback. I am not going to beat around the bush, I need help with scripting. Anyone who wants to join in please contact me by e-mail. As for I, Strahd Mutantspicy fantastic work on the scripts! What a difference. People on the Vault getting together to work on something with excellent results. The way it should be.
-------------------------------------
I know my mods have been extremely lacking in the role play department. I am working on this by the way. The new mods, "Shadow of the Knife" (an independent Ravenloft mod. No Strahd.) and "Son of Beornegar" (Wulfgar solo mod.) will have this. Coming Soon. :) _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.

ATTENTION:
Download and play "Nosferatu_revised.rar", NOT "Nosferatu.rar"! The old mod might cause your game to crash.
Very linear, not much RP possibilities, some minor bugs and confusing situations, but all in all I've found it to be great hack and slash fun with excellent atmosphere and appealing graphics. I played with a martial lvl 9 cleric and most combats were easy, except for one quite dramatic battle that required good tactics and resources and was a very close shave but also very satifying. :)
Looking forward to Part III of the series.

I enjoyed this very much, until I reached the last level and found out I had downloaded the old version which kept crashing my game. Please pull the buggy mod or at least add something like "DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS!" below the mod link, so as to avoid confusion.
*SPOILERS*
There was one woman in Barovia and two were-boar guardians in front of the castle who didn't have heads.
The henchwoman didn't level up as a cleric and kept engaging enemies in melee combat (not the wisest of choices for a wiz6/cle1).
The death of the monster hunters and the indestructible coffin / passage from castle Ravenloft after/during the battle with (invisible?) Strahd were a bit unclear. I mean at first it was not really clear if it was really meant that way. Maybe you could give some hints, like the monster hunters screaming "Oh no! An ambush! Aaargh..." and Strahd saying "You'll never be able to destroy my coffin, fly or die!" Just as an example... ;)
I played with my lvl 9, then lvl 10 cleric and found most of the combats easy again, except for the vampire massacre without armor, but thanks to a few heal potions I had in my inventory and my cleric abilities I could deal with that too. It was challenging and fun. Maybe I should add that my cleric has the Martial Weapons feat, that helped a lot, I guess.
Apart from the final battle in the old mod, the vampire scripts worked fine and were awesome.
Thanks for creating and sharing this mod with us! :)

Also, I'm not sure what the starting level for the next installment is, but I noticed that Nosferatu like I,Strahd basically award very few XP points. Making sure the xp point system levels your character appropriately to start the next chapter is important to allow character to have a seemless transition to the next chapter.
So I would like to see you modify some of the XP values for the more important villains and/or include some XP delivery scripts when the character achieves plot milestones for both I, Strahd and Nosferatu.

This was excellent. A great improvement in overall mod building over I,Strahd. The new Vampire system was much better. The story and visuals provide great immersion.
I only experienced on bug, and that was the end battle. Game crash. (I was playing the revised version, btw.) But I reloaded and it played fine the second time.
I used my same character from I strahd but I bumped her levels from 6wiz/7thief to 10wiz/11thief, that was probably too high as I really kinda walked thru the campaign. It was a challenge but nothing like I faced in I,Strahd.
My only requests or suggestions are to fix I, Strahd to make it a valid prologue. Perhaps even chaining the mods so the Nosferatu kicks in as you end I, strahd. I would also suggest making the starting level in I, Strahd about 14 or 15, then fixing the XP point system (add in some XP scripts) so that the character levels up to about 17 or 18 when Nosferatu starts.
P.S. I sent you an email. I found script fix for the vamps in I,Strahd. The gaseous forms always go to the nearest coffin, instead of blocking the door in the crypt. I also for kicks added a couple of items to help mages, and thief type characters. I can email you the mod file if you want to atleast get the script fix.
I have the last part of this Ravenloft serries in the works now. I want to go out with a bang. So I am not going to rush this one. I am hoping to get is done this weekend. Hoping. There will be a variety of weapons and armor in this one. Promise. I have been doing just that in my other mods. Your comments always come to mind when putting the weapons in. :) _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.
Say, I see you're putting out quite a lot of modules at the moment. Nonetheless, will you bring out the next part to this mod anytime soon? _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

Would be nice to see a wider variety of weapons and armor.

Nicely done. Very slick looking areas, and the creatures looked great. Couple of minor things... there were actually two Strahds in the final battle, and both seemed way too easy to defeat. The lady vampire with him was much tougher. Liriel was way too much of a lightweight for the level of enemies in the game; and for some strange reason my PC kept calling her Virginia?
Had a couple of lockups and crashes, especially during the last battle with Strahd.
SPOILER
The meeting with Lloth was funny, but she was WAY to nice :)
Hello,
great! Then, if you don't mind, a few clarifications:
That makes sense for the bride, but why is there an item hidden in the forge if the forge isn't supposed to be reached? You can destroy the forge with ranged weaponry and see an item is being dropped. Hence me having the idea you were actually supposed to get over to the bride.
The hunters were indeed wiped out on my first try, but you can lure the wraiths(?) away from them pretty easily if you notice them immediately. So on my second try everyone lived.
The weapons management is actually a pretty difficult point - if the character is using a weapon master, it will need one very specific weapon kind which can be any kind. If you don't want to give them trouble, you can
- include good weapons of any kind,
- implement a "choose your kind" weapon or, which I prefer,
- implore weapons that make sense and put the rest up as a warning like "this mod doesn't contain type XY weaponry" or "this mod contains mainly longswords and warhammers" in the description or Readme. Be prepared for a possible load of questions if using the second type.
I'd really like a good set of Kamas anyway. ;) Dual-Wielding Kamas with Flurry of Blows is just so much fun.
Btw., the same problem crops up - to a lesser degree - with armor. No monk robes here, and mostly leather armor. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
Thank you for the compliment. :) Brought a smile to my face. Part III will be out right after Lord of Ravenloft II is released.
PS. Libita I am checking out the link now. :) _________________________ Farewell and a long farewell it shall be. Some of us are not destined to meet again.
Thanks so much for the very important input. Going over your issues, I must admit the mod has some bugs. Lets see....
SPOILERS!!!!!
The Bride was not ment to be an easy to get to fight. Chances are if you have no magic, clerical spells, or range weapons you are out of luck.
The Monster Hunters were suppose to have been killed outright. Making life more unfair. Sorry you are going to have to take this up with the Dark Powers. They seem to have a way to make life unfair.
The cave below Ravenloft does have workable transitions. If worked for me. I know location is tricky, but this is due to tileset. I tried to make it work the best I could. I belive the tileset requires custom doors.
Weapon requests were excellent feedback! Thanks really. I suspect you are playing with a monk? Well sorry for the lack of. I have always played a monk with bare hand fists. Stero typical I know. Kamas and other wide range of weapons will be in future mods. Thanks to you.
The vampire mist coffin system was new to me. I was looking for a new effect. I thought all kinks were worked out. Sorry about that. I am wondering if this has anything to do with graphics or graphic cards? I am looking into this now.
Ballance, ballance, ballance. A big issue on my part. This feedback will help.
Last but not least. The mods connections. I, Strahd and Nosferatu are part of a seperate serries. Lord of Ravenloft is its own serries as well. The connection is the history and events that take place in the mods. I, Strahd was more or less an attempt to get the player familiar with the mythology. Nosferatu has the player continuing his guest with a henchwoman. The last " Thoughts of Darkness" will give the player a choice if he wants to be a vampire or try to rough it out on his own. Not to mention temptations from the Dark Powers.
Lord of Ravenloft will take you directly into the action and the world of Ravenloft. I am editing part II right now. Hope this helps answer your questions. Sorry for the eye full.
Thank you very much for your comments.

Great module even though there are flaws, I really like the plot.
When can we expect part 3 ?
Oh jeez, sorry for triple post. Is Lord of Ravenloft the next part of this? It doesn't sound like it. If not, does it have any connection to this storyline? And how many stories do you have going at the moment? _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
Oh, and at which level am I supposed to start this and part 3? My character carried over from I, Strahd was still level 10 and will be starting Lord of Ravenloft at level 11. I had some problems at the start, but most of it was a breeze once I got the Vampire Hide armour. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
Thanks again Leslie. Means a lot to me. A revised ending is in the works! :)

Positively wonderful!
However, since I, Strahd's min level is 10, max is 20... I recommend changing the min and max levels to 20-40. I played as a level 20 cleric... I am afraid anything less than that, and it would be unsurvivable.
There were no bugs, with the exception of the ending battle being a bit much for the game/computer to handle. It was tricky to get through it without all the vamps crashing the game.
Other than that, it truly felt like being in the horrible, unfair, evil realm of Ravenloft...
I really enjoyed this and cannot wait for part III.
Fix the final battle and this one would be absolutely perfect! _________________________ Stupidity kills people.
