This is module is designed specifically for the casual player who does not create modules and is intimidated by things like erfs, hakpaks, the override folder, NWN's Aurora Toolset but would like to have a functioning drow subrace for solo offline games or small groups of friends.
Just load this module as you would any other, save your character and load the module you wish to play. It really is that simple.
When you load this module with an Elf race character, it will automatically do the following:
* Set the character's subrace to "Drow"
* Set the character's diety to "Lolth"
* Set the characters skin color to black and hair color to white
* Grant "Drow Skin" that grants INT+2 CHA+2 [on top of the DEX+2 CON-2 elves already get], a +2 bonus to Will Saving Throws, Spell Resistance 12, and Darkvision
* Grant "Spider Relic" item that allows for the casting of Darkness [1/day] and Light [1/day]
Optional Features:
* 10 Drow NPCs that allow you to preview portraits and change yours to theirs
* Drow Chest: buy drow NPC weapons and armor
Non-elves are not welcome in this module and will be attacked on sight.
Know Issues:
Possible comparability issues
* Bonuses are granted through the hidden creature skin slot, which could be lost in modules that strip out this slot.
* Spider Relic will be lost in modules that item strip.
Drow racial features that could not be implemented
* Female Drow should have "Cleric" as their favored class.
* Spell Resistances should be 11 +1/level
* Weapon Proficiency should be hand crossbow, rapier, short sword
* Spells granted are based on NWN2 and not D&D 3.5, which contradict each other
* Light blindness weakness is missing.
* Additional experience point penalty [CL+2] is missing.
I looked at the script "onenter_drow" and noticed that after creating the object "drowskin" the author did not simply add the relevant item properties to the custom skin (e.g. ItemPropertyAbilityIncrease(2, IP_CONST_ABILITY_DEX)) within that script. Not sure why it was done that way.
One or more features could be optional. In my case I add to change back the Deity to Vhaeraun.
With some minor modifications this system could be use as a template for making other subrace for casual players (Tiefling for instance would be a good one).
I'm currently using the INVENTORY_SLOT_CARMOUR, which I do know that some modules such as Kingmaker, ShadowGuard and Witch's Wake will strip out. As someone who gravitates towards the classes rogue and ranger, I do gravitate more towards modules that let me skulk about so had never thought or considered taking advantage of horses.
I will check it out to see if it resolves what I call the "known stripping issue" without requiring the person using this to ever have to touch a hakpak or go into the Aurora Toolset.

"Possible comparability issues"
I.E. A possible Fix is If you add the "mounted actions" feat, (given to level 5 paladins and new 169 characters,) to your subrace hide, it will theoreticly help make player's more "immune" to the 169 scripts that want to strip your subrace hides, as will naming your character hide to the same name as the 169 PC hide :)
