Back in 2006, there was a fantastic PW called AngryWizard's Lord of the Rings - Finding Smeagol. It ran on NWN 1.68, CEP 1.52 and PRC 2.3. When it closed down, they offered the module to be downloaded for a few days. I was able to grab it and then upgrade it to use NWN 1.69, CEP 1.52 and PRC 3.3g.
The original description of the PW is at Link with a ranking of 9.99. All credit goes to the original authors, and I'm hoping that they don't mind the resurrected module being posted here.
There are 10 downloads available: the first is the required files including the module, some haks and a tlk file. The other 9 are the collection of music files which are optional but highly recommended.
I have been running this upgraded module as a private server for the past year or so and everything seems to work. I'm hoping that someone with the capability to host it as a public server will do so for the enjoyment of everyone.
Note that the original authors did not allow any Use Magic Device skills. I left that restriction in place.
You need to have NWN 1.69, SOU and HOTU installed. You need CEP v1.52 with the CEP 1.68 patch for it installed. And you need to have PRC 3.3g installed.
UPDATE: The module has been updated to work with PRC 3.5. All the files needed are in the LOTR-FS-Required-PRC35.rar file.
I'm trying to run this module, but am having difficulties. It opens, looks great, but the small quests are impossible. Doors don't open in dungeon areas, there are no available keys to open chests, etc. Do you need a DM or a party to play the module..or am I missing something?

You have to find Smeagol and return him to either Strider, Saruman or the Nazgul. Depends which alignment you are.
There are other quests and bosses that require a higher level character - the Smeagol quest can be completed in your early 20's when you're in a party. There are lots of bosses that will give a party of 38+ characters a run for their money.
I saw this mod listed and I'm intrigued, but I have a few questions:
[1] What is "PRC"? (I've played 100's of NWN1 mods before but I'm not sure what it is, or why I'd need it.)
[2] I read your reply to another poster regarding Solo play. When you say: "You can play it single-player but it will be quite difficult playing alone - there are no henchmen available and it was designed for parties." do you mean as a Level 1 Character?
[3] Would using a higher level char be OK or even recommended?
Thanks in advance! :)

Now updated to work with PRC 3.5.
Note that the LOTRFSRequired.rar contains the PRC 3.3g version of the module. It has been superseded by the LOTRFSRequiredPRC35.rar file.

Hmmm, well over 250 d/ls and not one single vote except mine.
