Description
A storm is about to hit hard, to your luck however, you've found a mansion, find out what awaits you inside.. This module was designed to throw you right into the adventure and can be used by DM's in their ongoing campaigns.

Thank you for your wonderful comments ppsantos.
I agree with you about the descriptions, some are really long especially when you enter the room where the raven comes in through the window. The descriptions are so sensitive in multiplayer too, if one person loads up an area before another and triggers a description another person may not get to see the description entirely. I'm going to try and cut down the descriptions, and as you said make them more descriptive to senses besides sight..maybe I could put them into like 10 second segments or something to make it a little more easier to read and I could also have all descriptions sent to the PC in case they miss them.
About the rooms being large, again, I'm going to go back through the module and put more furniture and accessories in, and since you mentioned it, especially the kitchen. :)
And I absolutely agree with you about trying to maintain an aura of mystery and suspense. I think I stayed TO faithful to the adventure book and I didn't want to add anything that WASN'T in the book. But I agree, I think there needs to be more clues and a litte more "stuff". I'll definetly look into this. :)
About the pull chain and the stone raven.. I mistakingly forgot to mark the pull chain( which was suppose to be a string in case you missed the description ) as unusable. That little room was suppose to be a closet(I think I had that marked on your map) and the stone raven was suppose to be hanging from it lifeless..although I couldn't really make the wings stop flapping so I had to settle with that. Anyways, the raven had a spell cast on it to make it taunt the PC when they entered the closet..Was suppose to be a "scary" moment. I'll try and make this a little more exciting.
About the portraits..I think the new version of NWN messed up some of the portraits and they only appear as black squares..gotta look into that.
I'm glad you enjoyed this module, and your comments have inspired me to go back and fix and enchance it. I appreciate that!

This is a great module! Thanks for converting it to NWN format. I played this with 3 players. This module is definitely NOT for solo play. Though playable, solo players will miss A LOT of the fun from the plot. I suggest recategorizing this as multiplayer only or if possible provide a henchman (for story purpose only) for solo play (henchman will only join if there's only 1 player).
Some comments:
Very very nice atmosphere! The storm, lightning, and thunder really set the mood, well done! Making the rooms dark also added to the mood and eerieness of the adventure.
The descriptions that pop up are are wonderful too. However, some of them are a bit long and distracted the players attention. Perhaps shorter pop-up descriptions that enhance the senses (like provide more but short details to what the character smells, hear, and feel instead of what the character sees since the gamescreen already shows those).
Some of the rooms are unnecessarily large. The main hall, dining room, etc, are necessarily big and they added to the atmosphere of dark and abandoned mansion. But the store rooms and kitchen and such where nothing could be found were unnecessarily big to the point of being tedious.
I appreciate the module builder staying faithful to the module (and insists staying that way) but to maintain an aura of mystery and suspense which this module tries to provide, something has to happen to the adventurers while exploring the mansion. If not thru combat (if there's really nothing like that in the original module) then thru subtle clues and bits of information that the characters find and put together while exploring the mansion. What I'm suggesting is putting a journal or notes from the owner of the mansion here and there -- little things that builds the suspense and mystery and subtly reveal the story.
Also, the pull chain doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe we missed something.
Other than that, great use of those custom placeable portraits.
Thanks again for converting this module into NWN for our enjoyment. I enjoyed it!

Not that bad a mod. It had an ok creepy feeling to it.
I had some complaints though,
1) some more clues to the first puzzle (the door in the
foyer) would have been nice. Perhaps using a listening
script and typing an answer would have been better.
2) Take a couple moments and rotate some of your
placeables. Seeing a room full of debries all lined up is
a bit distracting at best. It'll have a more real feel if
you just give each a slight twist.
Otherwise decent mod. Keep up the good work.

Bladesong - Either you didn't find the secret doors or you
blasted through the module expecting an epic hack/slash
campaign.
My guess is you didn't find the secrets and failed in
finding the mysteries of the mansion.

Ehhh... did you, like, post the wrong version, dude?
There's nothing in there. OK, it's not a very big module,
so I don't expect droves of patrons and/or encounters,
but this is really REALLY a bit on the thin side. Try a
parsec on the thin side.
Or in short - this sucks. NOT worth the DL or game time.
Sorry.
