Description
This module is about your character heading to Dracula's Castle to defeat Dracula.
There are three premade characters that it is recommended you play as. Each character starts at level 3 and already has their three main classes chosen, but you can level them as you wish from there. There are class specific equips for each character
Alden is an undead hunter and seeks revenge ever since he witnessed the murder of his parents by the creatures. He is going after the most powerful vampire of them all to get his revenge. Alden is quite versatile, and has a mixture of strength and agility as well as a variety of abilities to help him through.
Jorias is a paladin going to the castle to rid the land of evil and to save the people of Belmyre. He is physically strong, and takes the least amount of damage of the three.
Julia is a treasure hunter who relies on her agility and quick mind. She is going to the castle despite the dangers to loot the treasures inside. She is physically the weakest of the three characters, but makes up for it in other departments.
All three characters have their strengths and weaknesses. Alden and Julia can deal with traps very well, as well as making their own traps to use. Jorias hits the hardest, but has the lowest AC. Julia does the least amount of damage but is the only one with uncanny dodge and she has the highest AC.
The difficulty will depend on a few things. It will depend on which character you picked, and how you build that character from then on.
Not all of the creatures are sneak or critical immune, so keep that in mind. The non boss vampires in this module can be hit by critical and sneak attacks despite being undead.
The module is meant to be played on DnD Hardcore Difficulty, with Item Level Restrictions on. If the module becomes TOO hard for you, you can try lowering the difficulty or turning off the restrictions. Your character should be close the level of the items you find anyway.
Death is permanent here. There is a bleeding to -10 system in place, but it has limited uses. You won't be able to respawn, so make sure to save your game as you go along.
Most of the module takes place inside of Dracula's Castle, but you may find yourself returning to town for supplies and to rest. You can only rest at the inn.
It's recommended you turn your skyboxes on for outdoor areas to get the full effect.
There are some horses, but you can only use them in outdoor areas and you will automatically dismount before entering an area.
Equipment is mostly custom made stuff that will fall under the item level restrictions. You can also find regular NNW standard stuff sometimes.
Enemies are a mixture of custom and nwn standard. The first couple areas of the castle use simple nwn standard undeads, but for most of the module you will fight custom enemies.
The Dracula Hunter Module and the three recommended premade characters. Extract the module to your module folder, and the character.bic files to your local vault.

I really enjoyed playing through as all three characters, and I will say I prefer Julia because that's my playing style, but Jorias and Alden were also fun. And I think that this is an amazing design for "CastleVania" on NWN. Makes me want to script up a version of CastleVania SoTN for NWN. Cheers!
You should really and truly create and release "Castlevania" series of NWN adventure action modules this year somehow!!!, please reply today. _________________________ Mike Sharp.
You seem to be some random guy who just made an account just to come here and troll.
Hopefully one of the mods will delete your troll attempts.
If you have a general problem, just ask. No need to come here and troll. Everything in this module works, and the others who have beaten it didn't seem to have any problems finding what they needed.

A short but enjoyable mod. Very straightforward but with nice touches. If you just want to explore and bash heads just for fun, this is for you.

I am enjoying this module. Indeed the castle if full of goodies. I am now level 11 and things progress well for me. I love the module background and the settings. Sometimes you just need a straightforward approach to get some fun.
Took me about a month to do this one, real simple concept, but I gotta admit, I had fun testing it out with a few of the characters.
Nothing ground breaking here, but it's a fun little module I thought with a nice bit of challenge to it.
Anyway, if I keep getting good feedback, I might release more stuff.
Until then, if you want, you guys can check out my persistant world, Realms of Midgard. It's an action server vault that's a lot of fun. Our regulars are quite dedicated, but barely anyone knows about it and whenever we change IP addresses we seem to lose a bulk of the players who only search for it by their history.
Anyway, my other module which is hosted currently in action, is high magic but it's balanced. Loads of custom stuff there, thousands of custom items, hundreds of areas, hundreds and hundreds of customized creatures, and loads of other features. It's definitely different than this module I uploaded, but you might want to check it out. Oh, and most of my persistant world can be done solo or in small groups, so don't be discouraged if no one is on. Like I said, we changed IP addresses on the server a few times and keep losing some regulars who don't know it changed.

I always wanted to see a good 'Castlevania-like' module for NWN. Nice work! I played through as Julia, and intend to replay with one of the other pre-made characters.
I recommend playing one of the premade characters. There is a premade Rogue character (Julia). Not only is there some class specific equips, but all three premade characters due start off with some basic items of each type.
Once you get more into it and play it a bit more, you'll probably have an abundance of gold. There is lots of treasures inside the castle, equips, gems, etc.
In fact, most of the stuff in the shops you can find somewhere in the castle.
As for trap crafting materials, I slightly raised the prices on them simply because they are so effective. You will find lots of holy water, and there are traps to disarm into the castle.
Keep in mind, heal kits are much cheaper than potions. Save your potions for when you need to near instant restore health.
You can also just grind on certain respawns to get some gold. Walking Dead outside the castle drop badges you can sell, Giant Skeletons in the courtyard will drop giant bones you can sell, and later there is a special arena where you can fight special enemies that will drop various valuable gems.
Anyway, hope this helps you. I HIGHLY recommend using one of the three premade characters (they start at level 3 and have some basic equips of each type as well as some starting gold)

I am playing with a newly created rogue and I am having a bad time mostly with overpriced shops. Anyway I find this module fun and rather weird at the same time.
I'm not actually a fan of CEP believe it or not. Not everyone uses it or will download a hakpak to play a mod and for some people it's very glitchy looking depending on their graphics card.
I made plenty of custom undead creatures so don't worry if you saw a few nwn standard enemies in the first section of the castle. Most of the module you fight nothing but custom enemies.

Its challenging, fun, and has a nice atmosphere that fits the mood of the module. Would play again with a different character for sure.
