You have been sent to the town of Fern, to escort an ore shipment. After speaking to the mayor, you find that the plan has changed. This is my first attempt at building. It is my finish to the Maximus toolset tutorial.

I also enjoyed this module. Yes, there were some glitches. Sometimes the companion didn't transition for me in certain areas. And whenever I spoke to them, it was like I was meeting them for the first time.
But overall I enjoyed the module quite a bit. I think I got the 3rd ending. So I probably missed something along the way. But still liked playing it. A good effort for one's very first attempt at modding. Hope you continue!

Ed,
You're welcome, I really enjoyed the mod, and I am sure your next one will be even better. It's nice to see people are still learning to use the NWN engine after all these years, it shows how great this game is.
Vidal,
Thank you for the feedback. The original Mod ended with returning the ring. I just kept adding on to it for the experience. The first thing I learned is, don't do that.
I've learned some, but can see that I still have a long way to go. Right now I'm playing around with CEP and a couple of Haks. I have an idea for a paladin based mod. I'm trying to take my time on this one, to avoid some of the chaos that occurred on the last.
Thanks again for your vote and your comments.
Ed

Well, I finished it and it is truly a nice surprise... I tried two of the 5 possible endings already and will try again later, but I believe it is a very good first mod and the author should be encouraged.
There are very few bugs, actually I would say they're more like omissions... one example:
*SPOILERS*
After returning from the hills I went into the barn and talked to Loric who told me to speak to the captain... I did it and then I went straight to the hold without talking to Loric again... of course I couldn't enter the hold and, upon returning to the village to see if I missed something - it was the original area, not the other one with the soldiers.
I managed to solve that by exiting the area through the north exit and returning again, but this could have been avoided if the captain instructed me to speak with Loric again.
*SPOILERS END*
This sort of problem is not really a bug, just a matter of polish. Other than that the mod works pretty well and the story is rather interesting. I really liked the different endings based on your decisions... something not aways present in other mods and very important for a RPG.
It is not perfect and it could be much better with a few adjustments, but it is very good and could be made into a part of an epic campaign if the author should invest more time into it - the tale could go on with the character trying to find out who is responsible for the invasion, facing other quests that would help change the face of the region.
Of course that's just my opinion, but I wouldn't mind playing a second chapter of this story... my only advice would be to give it a proper tittle and a more detailed description.

I must admit I wasn't very interested after reading the description. Usually first mods aren't really entertaining... but I decided to try it, and it is definitely surprising.
It is much better than most first mods out there. There are a few typos and some of the areas could be changed a little bit (like the long tunnel), but there is more to the story than a simple *kill the goblin chief* quest (though that's exactly what it seems to be at first).
I haven't finish it yet, since it is much larger than it looks, but I would have to say my main advice would be to improve the description and to change the tittle... it doesn't have to be an epic one, but something slightly more compelling would help to generate more interest.
I will vote as soon as I finish, but I wanted to congratulate the author... it is a nice first mod and I hope it won't be the last.
