Dragon Junction v2.0 Pure Hack and slash with the beginning of a storyline (only a few quests) report bugs to author please. You king has sent you to find 2 dragons eyes for a rare potion to cure him of a deadly disease. He also wants you to find out who or what has been stirring up the orcs and goblins in the area he is sending you to. There are also a couple of other quests available for the local residents. This version fixes all known bugs and adds more encounters in some areas and a second henchman to chose from.

Note for anyone who does not like EXE files - the Dragon
junction module is in self installing format created using
a tool that is include with the NWN toolset. Just download
it and double click and the file will install itself in the
module directory.
I do not know or care enough about hacking to make any
changes to the exe file so the only thing in the exe file
is the .mod file! (No hack files or anything else)
I started out zipping the file but when I found the tool
to make a self extracting mod I used it for your
convenience!

Yes you did finish the mod - I will look into the henchman
killing garth as this happened to me once also (I thought
it was due to fighting orcs but will see if I can fix it)
You did not miss much - the tower has 3 small (1 room)
levels and that quest only gives you 1000xp and 500gold!
(Garth gives you the key if you talk to him but since he
was dead he didn't I will make the key droppable in the
next version once I have more comments to let me know of
any other problems)
I am working on Dragon Junction II now but it is still
in the begginning stages so may be a couple months before
it is done. (Dragon Junction took me a month and I plan on
the sequel being much bigger and I plan to pay more
attention to details like the above Garth thing :-)
Thanks for your input!

Totally enjoyed this module-only thing i didn't get to talk
to Garth before my henchmen killed him. don't know why.
never found a key to his tower so i didn't get to explore
it. would have liked to though. now i ran thru everything-
only cave i didn't complete was the dwarves --too many
hostiles coming at my characters and killed me once-that's
my respawn limit. when i talked to the captain, journal had
all quests completed- he told me he was not ready to sail
yet- is there something more i need to do? or is that the
end of this mod? by the way i thought all areas were
outstandingly done - all scripts were great and it played
with no bugs that i could tell. everytime hostiles
respawned my computer did hesitate- don't know if thats my
system or a bug but it is something i could live with.
great job- keep up the good work and please let me know if
i'm done or not. is there a sequel or another module your
working on? if so let me know the name so i can play it.
Thanx

Thanks for telling me about it - I thought I had fixed
that problem in an earlier version. BUt to be honest I
don't normally kill anything unless it attacks me first
(most of characters are Lawful Good :-)
I will see if I can do sometihng about it in the next
module in the series! (I will fix it in this one also but
don't plan to do much more unless a major problem comes up -
this little bug might be fun for some evil type characters
to play with??? Someone let me know about evil characters :-
)
thanks again

I like the basic hack and slash thing once in a while, and
your's worked pretty good. I did not quite finish the
whole module, because I ran into a problem. I killed a
deer (I was roleplaying, I needed to hunt some food) and
all the animals attacked me. This was not so bad until I
returned to town, where I was assaulted by the townspeoples
cows and dogs. Once again, not so bad until my henchman
started slaughtering everything that came near him,
invoking the wrath of the town guard. Then there was some
unpleasantness with the villagers resulting in me losing
all of my experience points. That was when I quit. I do
plan on playing this again with a higher level character,
but I thought I'd tell you this as I felt it was unfair.
Needless to say I won't kill any animals next time.

Version 2.0 now available! Fixes all known bugs and adds
second henchman and more encounters.

Actually I was playing with that and had no luck so far -
I wanted to have a magical effect in front of the magic
shop but the only way I could make the sign float was to
have it in a tree or on the roof :-) I will keep trying.
Also my apologies to everyone on the lack of monsters in
the last quest - Apparently I got my saves of the module
mixed up and put up an earlier version. I am doing the
fixes now and I will update it as soon as I fininsh. I just
completed the module with a new fighter - it worked fine
but a lot of the encounters I had put in were missing. SO
sorry about that. Still everything worked fine up to the
gold dragon quest. thats where the encounters are missing
so the last quest is a lot easier than I planned on.
Version 2.0 will fix that :-)

...if we could just get the +blocked+ floating chests and rugs
to be there on COMMAND....that would be cool...put like the
magic light effects under the chest/bag/whatever that's
floating and Ta-Da, magic chest thingy, something that
belongs to a mage or something like that....just nothing
like that has been done intentionally yet, that I know of.

For those who noticed it my description above wasn't very
good. Background story is - you have been sent by the king
to find 2 dragon eyes for a rare potion need to cure him.
Also you are to find out who is stirring up the orcs and
goblins. There are a couple other quests in the module also.
For those of you who already found the problem - I am
aware of the floating chest and floating rug in the evil
temple and am already working on version2.0 (in which I
hope to add a couple more henchmen and some trapdoors once
I figure out how they work :-)
Be sure to let me know of any other problems you run
into - especially in multiplayer as I have no one to help
me test that part of it :-)
Thanks everyone who plays it.
