annoying teleports. to long and boring. no real story line other than make it to the surface. very linear.

Markus: I found your trilogy absolutely fun to play. Loved the cut screens. I played this awhile back. Figured it was time to vote. Miss your work.

I cannot imagine why this module has so many high ratings. I found it rather annoying. Your loot from enemies gets marked stolen so you can't sell it. You are forced solo into the tunnels where very deadly traps are heavily placed. Wait, did I miss that you are supposed to play a rogue? Check the module info. Nope, doesn't say that. Frustrating. So it gets a 5, not better.
Is anybody else having trouble making the levers work in the mines? I ended up stuck in a section because none of the daddil levers worked and the doors are un-bashable.
I'm not very good with computers. I'm used to just downloading mod files and putting them into my modules folder. I have no idea how to install this module..but it sounds awesome. Can someone please walk me through this?

There were two glitches in Module three - one of which was possibly due to playing a PRC drow.
1. After the cut scene with the adventurers the camera mode stuck.
2. Whenever I loaded a saved game my character was unable to do anything at all. Move, walk, attack, anything. It was OK as long as I played through from the start (so I 'cheat-killed' my way through :-/
Despite the various problems (possibly from PRC use) I still liked playing a 'real' drow - and using an appropriately evil feat.
The module description says "Alignments: Any" but I think any good alignment character would have been difficult to play realistically from a roleplay perspective. Considering you're basically slaughtering a path to the surface for a bunch of murderous drow a good character should have deserted at the first opportunity.

Start of module 3.
"How dare you enter my realm, Drow, Die!"
Man Lloth is picky ;-)
Another case of not working well with PRC. I deleted the race check in the toolset.

Just started a (PRC) Female Drow rogue. Two points.
1. I keep getting a "subrace type undefined" conversation popping up when I load. Presumably this has something to do with PRC not working very well with this module.
2. I hate it when 'sneak mode' is cancelled because my character chooses to talk to herself.
"Gee, there are a lot of monsters around here - better be careful." [Cancel sneak, get spotted]
That isn't really very smart.

An excellent series. I put other mods as a priority because I assumed this series would be too Drizzt fanboy orientated. But I could'nt have been more wrong, it really sets the tone for the environment, reminding me alot of R'A Salvatore's books but still seeming original.
Other people have been put off by a few spelling/grammatical errors, but I'm quite grateful that the author (who is German as I understand it) is willing to release the series in English.
There should be a seperate rating scheme for modules this good.

Excellent series of modules. I loved the opportunity to play a drow. Great take on the underdark. _________________________ Failure is not an option

The Mendt Clan is much more feared and dreaded than the drow. I am even writing a book about them. For example: They use drow priestesses as slaves, they have a living wall of dead bodies that are animated through necromancy, and they are generally bad asses all around.

"Piwiewien adresses me with "...although your last performance was poor...". Is this a bug?"
No. He just generally dislike you. :P

Has anyone else happened uppon one of these problems playing this mod before? If so please tell me if you know how to fix it.
1. No loot from all corpses. Don't even get a remains bag.
2. always says gained 1xp and 15xp
3. Henchman portrait comes and goes.
Erm... in part 2, I succeeded in the swirfneblin ambush without casualties. I am told that I'm doing very well. Nevertheless, after a short dispute with the mage, Piwiewien adresses me with "...although your last performance was poor...". Is this a bug? _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud

I was very excited when I found this Drow module. At last I could play the bad guy AHAHAHAHHA (sadistic laugh). On top of this, it seemed the author really took time to make a great thing: cd-cover, intro movies.
But...
But this module is boring. Nothing interesting to do. Large and wide areas, some monsters can't be hurt, a one-hour first part.... _________________________ Ce n'est pas parce qu'une bataille est perdue d'avance qu'elle n'est pas bonne à mener

Great Game so far, but I though searching at the right spot, I can not find the Mindflayer Tunnel entrance.
Thanks in advance,

In the walkthrough it mentions that putting drow as the subrace will get you drow traits like Darkness, Spellresistance and ability bonuses. But when I created my character, with drow as the subrace, I didn't get any of that. In fact, the only thing I could tell that it did was change my race description on the character sheet from elf to drow. Should I just ignore that or is it going to affect gameplay?
