A movie of an attacking beholder. Short, but highly detailed. Made in 3dSmax. Only difference between this and the model i've made for the game is the usage of a bumpmap. Go figure...
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 5 that made this score of 6.40 then rounded to 6.

Looks great, however if this were a normal attack run on a pc, it would be too long.
If you wish to show a beholder in action (as I think you do), then I advise to make it a bit longer.

thanx for the comments. I'm glad that you liked it, though
it's very short... perhaps i should make a longer version,
but i never really dreamt of going into the movies... hehe
You are right that the stalks' animations look weird, but
they use the excact animations that are used in the game
version. And they where done in notepad, so they are
somewhat repetive to limit the amount of work.
The main idea of the movie is to give people an opportunity
to see how much bumpmaps help the visual experience.
Ofcourse, the movie is prerendered and NWN will never have
the same quality, but if they enabled the use of bumpmaps,
they would take a huge step toward it.

Very nice. The only thing I think you need to do is
animate the eye stalks as it moves, but it is really well
done.
