This is a 22 MB movie showing the demonstration of the Thrall of Demogorgon Prestige Class being added to the PW Myth Drannor. It's rather large, but a good show of the use of various feats. Part 2 of 2 showing hte prestige classes. The others from Lysander and myself show the new skills added, the Prestige Class selection, and then this one, demonstrating how the character gets the abilities. There will be over 30 functioning Prestige Classes posted to the Vault 3 weeks after their release in Myth Drannor, for anyone to use, on NWVault. If someone wishes to see more, contact me and I'll do short clips of the testing on the rest of the Prestige classes. See the link at the webpage for a list of the prestige classes that will be done.
How's the PrC coming along? Get the 2da's done? Still very excited about this release.

I love making the effort for gamers to bring something enjoyable to the game, for them. The only reason I make it all is for the players. I run my server that way, and my life that way. Do it for your friends. And my friends are gamers.

You have made me a very happy man!!! How soon do you think until the Bladesinger comes out? I can hardly wait. I can't even bring myself to play NWN while awaiting it's release, well not really but almost. I could continue to assault you with questions about how it works via e-mail, but as the release will probably include some kind of documentation, I will wait as quietly as I can. It's incredible to me that you will be releasing 22 PrC's and 80+ spells... thats absoulutley amazing. These will be some of the greatest contributions to the NWN community ever.... Thank you.

I lied, looks like...we'll have 22 Prestige classes for release shortly. I'll release the Bladesinger PrCs (by overwhelming popular demand) first, and we'll be testing the rest thoroughly prior to release, just to make sure the feats function 100% no bugs for multiplayer before putting them on the vault. I can put a movie on the vault for those interested in the others, tested in the PW of Myth Drannor. We are also adding about 80+ spells from people here on the vault, but using an edited spells.2da file, and releasing that hak as well. What spells? Just look up the spells in the scripting section of the NWVault, we added them all. I also myself scripted Agannazar's Scorcher, Nature's Fury and Nature's Wrath (two new druid spells, summons a treant and a treant-lord). These are spells that don't require items to use, they show up in the spell selection process, all seamless. I've tested these extensively and so forth, they work fairly well and close to the PnP versions as allowable by the Aurora engine. These are based off of the HCR base scripts, so you'll probably need these to use the hak. Sorry for the delay on getting these done, lots of issues came up after the 1.30 update and we had alot of server fixes to do before continuing work, as well as a not-so-friendly virus.

Well, simply email me at the email address I left a link to above. I can answer any questions there. And no, spell selection lists are hard-coded into the game. You're either a wizard, a cleric, a druid, a paladin a ranger or a bard. The feats can only allow a certain number of "different" selections, on a radial menu. However, the number of times one can USE that feat is not a problem. So, similar to a sorc, you get fewer selections, more uses. I can discuss all the other "hard code" limitations (some of which we did find ways around) via email, but not in the comments section.

Is a custom spell book just not possible then? The Bladesinger spells are all wizard spells and almost all of them have been added into the game now by bioware. The Bladesinger is supposed to cast spells as a wizard does and is an intelligence based character. It is not possible to have one spell-like feat be recharged at rest in favor of another of the same spell level (as wizard spells do) is it? If a custom spell book is not possible, is it possible to allow only a limited selection of the wizard spellbook to a custom PrC based on it's level? The feat-like spell system is not a bad solution, but it does create quite a few differences from the PnP version of the Bladesinger. The effect is to make the Bladesinger have a limited selection of bladesong abilities it can use a certain number of times a day as opposed to memorizing which spells would be most useful from her book. Will the feats/spells come as bonus feats per level, or will it be possible to choose amongst the more powerful bladesong feats/spells at higher levels? Will any Bladesinger ever be able to have all of the bladesinger spells? Will higher Int give bonus feats, as it would spells? Will these feats/spells be able to be used quickly and not interupt the attacks or create an attack of opportunity, as bladesingers do at higher levels? I love the Bladesinger class. I'm sorry to post all of these questions here, if there is a more appropriate place for this thread to continue, inform me of it and i will move my querry there. I am not trying to criticize your methods either, in fact the spell-like feat ability should work well enough, if done right, as to make very little difference into the overall efectivness and roleplayability of the character. I just reall want as much info as I can get because of how badly I want a more seamless version of the Bladesinger than Emanuael's mod. I did like his mod alot, but as he doesn't seem to be around to update it.... c'est la vie. I look forward very much to your PrC's. My friends and I will use them in our online gaming group most definatley. If you need anyone, namely ME :), to help beta test that Bladesinger of yours just let me know. I can't wait to see her in action!

We've just finished the other work we needed done and it should be 1-2 weeks (knock on wood). Spells will be spell-like feats, but I believe they will be choseable from a large number of feats. So no two Bladesingers will be exactly alike. Also, you do have the spells granted by the spellcasting class (for example, you can take 6 levels in warrior, then 4 in sorcerer, and get any spells normally granted as a sorcerer). From what I understand, a set of modified spell scripts will also be availible that adds the Bladesinger level to spellcasting class. So a bladesinger made as above will cast his spells as a 14th-level spellcaster, as far as duration, damage, etc.

ThAnk you very much. Does it have its own spell book? God I hope so. It would be unfortunate if it used a spell-like feat system. How soon is soonest? I can hardly wait for this PrC. My favorite character is a bladsinger.... i acnnot wait to translate him to NWN. Thank you again.
