Prologue movie for the upcoming "Symmetry" module. This movie will be included as part of the final package, but is here presented in glorious Quicktime format.
A smaller, low-res version has been included for the bandwidth challenged amongst us.
Thanks for the interest in the movie and module. Any feedback you might have is greatly appreciated.
Also be sure to check out the teaser and full trailer for the module.

I thought you used alot of creative effects like the staggered pan /zoom & the music was nicely time too.
Aside from a couple scenes that were rushed, I'd say..a very nice movie & does do what a trailer is designed to do.. Perk our curiosity _________________________ The Only Difference between me & a Madman is I am not Mad

Actually, my cynicism is a result of what I've seen posted on the vault here before. See the preview for the CODI module or the Castlevania module. I have done quite a bit of scripting work for a number of PWs and have already invested over 40 hours in my own module. My point was, that sometimes people get too excited about their module and want to showcase it before its even finished. Its frustrating, because I get excited about their projects too. ;) No hard feelings. Yth

I'd definitely give this a 10. Hopefully the module itself will measure up.

Very nicely done, I thought the sound effects and music were very well timed... felt like I was watching a trailer for a movie instead of a video game. Maybe someday the module will be done ;)
gpeddino, Thanks for the nice comments. =0) As for the tools that were used? The opening sequences were built and rendered using Bryce 5. The screenshots were massaged with Photoshop and the movie was edited using Final Cut Express. The last third of the soundtrack was composed using Soundtrack. _________________________ "Old at being young. Young at being old." - BNL

Astonishing video, I really look forward for the module. What tools did you use for the credits and effects?

Fantastic. The best I have seen. So when can we expect the module? I am tapping my fingers impatiently!

Excellent job, great quality. Can't wait for the module!
Preparing to download now and will score it once I see it. I agree that if any comment is made it should be contructive, not to belittle someone who took their time to make & contribute to better NWN. Critics keep people from contibuting their work, and it becomes everyones loss.

Just getting the voting started. Obviously I'm a little biased since I'm writing the module, but hey...

Wow, that is cynical. Just felt like bashing away at people/things you don't know anything about, eh? Well, I suppose yours was a literally true statement since the trailer/prologue and the module are being created by separate people. But if you want to talk about total time invested in one versus the other, that's a different story. In any event, I'm willing to bet that either one is much greater than the time you've put in to creating something for the community. Now it could well be that the module, once it comes out, will not meet your high expectations, but please hold that criticism for the module itself.

Gosh, I hope this isn't yet another module for which the author spent more time on the trailer than on the mod itself. Excuse my cynicism.
Very well done, but I gave up reading the text because I couldn't become absorbed - it went by too fast. Found myself racing to read it and then observing the images.
