VERY nice! Final Fantasy 1 is the easiest to make a module for and could even be more fun for a DnD game. The world map brought back so many memories :) Keep up the great work man
Pretty Crappy? That game was awesome and my personal favorite of the entire series! The later games handed you a bunch of premade and utterly boring characters instead of forcing the player craft their own and kept trying to shove their crappy story down your throat. FF1 had an interesting story, but it was for you to discover - instead of having you walk linearly from cutscene to cutscene, you could sail and fly nearly anywhere in the world and just explore. The later games never again felt like an open world and instead became more and more just movies with a menu that pops up from time to time.
Looks pretty interesting I have to say. :) But personally, I'd recommend making a remake of some other ff-game instead, since the first is, in my personal opinion, pretty crappy.
BUT if you'd make all of the characters more rich in personality instead of using the same old lines from the first game then perhaps it could work better. If you've played the DS-remake of Final Fantasy III then you know what I mean and if you haven't well, basically make all of the classes more like their own characters with individual personalities, names and stories instead of dull versions of a generic Black Mage or Monk etc. Then maybe it could work.
But I'd still recommend going for a remake of one of the other games. Final Fantasy 6 would fit awesomely well in NWN2 and it's my personal favorite. I also think more people will download and vote on your game if it's one of the more interesting ff-games you're making a remake of.
