Is the movie A pawn of prophecy baised on the book by David Eddings with the same people from the book or is it very diffrent from the book?

I was looking for any mods based on the David Eddings books? This movie is all i could find. What happened to the 'Pawn of Prophecy' mod?

LAME, way to take the name of the first book of David
Eddings' "The Belgariad," then call the leading character
the godslayer, exactly the same as the book. I might add
that the yellow guy with the sword is kinda overdone.
