Version 1.1 Beta!
Beta, true - but it has one big MAJOR improvement over Version 1.0: You can select Multiple lines from the Difference List Box and perform a combinulation function upon ALL of them with just ONE click. Note the CAPS? MAJOR improvement! ;) Few others: Find, Resequence, Create New. I probably won't update this one again until the end of next month (May '07).
Soon you'll be able to save both the top & bottom 2das, as well as perform searches... and maybe just maybe... DRAG & DROP from one to the other (I'm working on it - so keep your fingers crossed).

A fantastic 2da editor, but I'm curious-its been about a year now since an update. Are you still working on a drag and drop feature? _________________________ LeClaire

Wonderful tool. Makes combining easy, quick, and painless. I like that it highlights the differences and the renumbering. Great for putting older haks together with 1.69.

Thank you! This made my transition to 1.69 painless. I've been doing it in wordpad all this time, but I needed to update several 2das for the patch, so I thought I'd give this a try. I would also love to see a bigger window, but the ability to maximize would be the best. I hope you update this someday and finish all the features. This is a great tool. Though the window size really bugs me. It's really small, when editing something like appearance.2da it'd be nice to be able to see a little more. _________________________ - AlizarinCrimson

Buggy, but way too handy not to use or vote on. _________________________ Heatstroke
Heh forgot: also added in a button that starts looking for empty rows below your currently selected row & fills them in. _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

Progress Report:
Today I added in the multiple list-item features for INSERT and OVERWRITE AT functions. They'll need some documentation before I post this new version, plus some extra "playtesting" while I work on CEPv2_1. So far it is working out very well and making things MUCH MUCH faster. I'll try to post v1.2 this week (and v1.0 will be history). _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

FYI: Version v1.1 does not YET have the following buttons that Version v1.0 has:
Add to Selected Row
Fill in ****'d rows
Right now it can Add to End & Overwrite. However, as I mentioned in the file description - multiple differences handled now with just one click!
Fill all ****'d will be implemented soon, as that's a very helpful feature. I'd like to figure out drag-n-drop instead of the old pick row routine however, that could take a bit.
Anyhow, I won't have any time to work on this until next week at the earliest. So, please enjoy even if you have to made do with occasionally using V1.0's features. _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

Sorry I didn't get back to you. There's some step-by-step how to use this in the CEPv2.0 documentation I wrote. Take a gander over it and let me know if you still need help (PM me at Bioware: TheExcimer-500) _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

**Update is in Progress**
Just wanted to take a break as I've been at it since about 11pm (it's now 4am). Anyhow, I'll let y'all know how it's going and maybe release a v1.1beta to get some feedback soon.
Jaysyn, it's been updated to Hall of Fame Status!
Magnus_T_Fizzdoodle - yep gonna fix that one!
Mondryn - already fixed - even 800x600 users can see everything now (lotta work for that)
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO VOTED!!!! _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

Thanks for all the positive feedback! It's taken a while, but the burnt-out feeling post-CEPv2 has finally left. I'll be reworking this program taking into account all of your great comments as well as enhancing/expanding its features. No re-release date firm yet, but I'm guessing around May. _________________________ RPG-Multiverse Link

Very helpful app. Should have voted long ago. This has really helped, nay, enabled me to combine a lot of 2da's. I have encountered one problem with it. If you click on the header for a column, if sorts the entries by that column. This by itself is actually helpful, however, once I do such a sort, I have been unable to return the 2da to numerical order. When I click on the first column, the entries go like this:
0 Dwarf...
1 Elf...
10 Bat...
100 Helmed Horror...
1000 Wemic...
etc... instead of returning to proper numerical order. Now the obvious solution is "Don't do that...", but I sometimes find it helpful to sort one column or another. If anyone can help here, I'd appreciate it. It probably wouldn't be as simple as right-justifying the numbers column, but who knows... ;)
