A scripting tutorial explaining some of the ins-and-outs of writing if-statements in NWScript. Includes a brief overview of data-types, functions & commands, variables & constants, operators, and expressions particularly as to how they relate to constructing an if-statement.

I've learned to script in NWN through trail and error, and learn stuff each day even 11 years later haha. This is a killer read....literally, but thanks! _________________________ PW Action Server:

Sorry to have to be a downer, but while this tutorial was very detailed, I really didn't find it very useful. It was too complex and contained too much unnecessary, esoteric information (e.g. "It is the only unary boolean operator there is, but there are unary arithmetic operators too (like the minus sign which actually is the only operator that can be used either as a binary operator for subtraction or a unary operator to make a single numberic element negative as in -17 as opposed to 22 -13)). I think it would've been more effective to show examples of actual if-statements and go through them step by step. This may be useful for moderately experienced scripters, but not, I suspect, for most newbies.

The best attempt I've seen yet to make these complex scripting concepts understandable and accessible to all. Thank you, Axe. _________________________ Realms Of Destiny PW
