I at least appreciate your time and effort into 'filling the blanks' here, regardless of the reasons the 2da was invcomplete or the models were extraneous.
Apologies for the 'newbie' question, but I just want to be sure: If a module is created with this 'fix', will players need also the updated .2da file to play? (Of course, they would at least need CEP2.0)
I have explained to everyone that has bothered to comment on this isue that the CEP Team did not have the time to remove the models because they could not do so and meat their release date. Now there are quite a bit of bugs out there and I'm sure that they will all be found and corrected in time. Now I'd appreciate it if people would get off my back about it. If you want me to point out a sure enough bug in the first release of the CEP2 then I suggest you open up the appearance.2da and look at the CODI Primus entry. I know that it is there but just take a close look at it. Then tell me what you see. If you have the original release of the CEP2 then you will see that the label is missing from the entry. While this does not prevent use of the model it is a little annoying to people who try to create Primus in the Toolset because you can't find it in the list of creature appearances instead you will find it as a completely blank spot at the very top of the list. I looked at the CEP forums and from what I've seen alot of people are finding several bugs and all I've tried to do is offer fixes to what many thought of as errors. I don't recall anyone asking each and every member of the community exactly what they wanted to see. All I've done by completing all the entries is making material, which would not otherwise be available, accessable to anyone who wants it. There is no crime in this and last time I checked it was still wrong to try and punish someone for speaking their mind or revealing what lies benieth or in this case within. All I'm suggesting is that they do need a little more help so that these little bugs and such can be found and that what are not bugs are also explained to people out there so that someone won't look at the 2da entries and see it as a glitch the way I did. You are making conclusions that you have no right to make. I have been offline for along time editing and tweaking my own content that I downloaded from the vault and various other sights so when I look at a 2da and see that parts of an entry are missing, or in this case deleated, I of course automatically see a glitch that needs to be fixed. I had no idea that the tanarukk and canoloth were left out on purpose nor could I find anyone who would answer a single question that I had to ask. I'm an old school hacker and rely mostly on my own prowess. Now I've went back and changed my entries and that's all I'm going to do on this matter except see to it that the canoloth model is animated and made available for download. I have stated my reason for this and I'd appreciate it if from now on people would let bygones be bygones. I hold no enmaty toward any member, part, or asociation of the CEP or the CEP Team and I do understand that they have deadlines to meet. But if you will look at what you yourself have said here. Anytime someone has to disable a 2da so fast that they leave it hacked up like that it is called 'being in a hurry'. I do know what that is like and I sympathize greatly. So I don't want to hear any more crud about it again.
The point about leaving the models in, is that the CEP Team were already working toward a release date when the decisions to remove them were made. The fastest way to make the revisions and meet the release date were to disable the 2da entries.
This is not called 'rushing', it is called 'fulfilling a commitment'.
Having seen the true bug list for CEP2 recently, I have to say that, compared to the amount of work that went into it, the actual bug list is ridiculously small.
The CEP Team members are all diligent, thorough and adept at their work. Adding more people or more time to the project would not necessarily mean a reduction in bugs. You can tease and tweak things until Kingdom Come, but with a community project like the CEP, at some point you have to draw the line and release what you have.
I am just grateful that the CEP Team are not working to a commercial deadline like some others.
Don't forget that the CEP is a Community Project, and the community have a real opportunity to help with tracing bugs and omissions. I'm sure the Team will be just as interested in 'bug-fixes' supplied by Community Members, as they are in new content.
There is an opportunity here for everyone to help out. Though it appears I may have overlooked your postings on either the CEP or Bioware forums.

420 I do apologize for thinking that the tanarukk and the canoloth were oversights however you can see where someone would make the mistake since the CEP did in fact leave them there. I realize the CEP2 was rushed and I explained that. I will edit my entries to let everyone know that these were left out due to the reasons you have given. I have suggested a means to give animation to the canoloth model to members of the CCP who will most likely do just that. As for the tanarukk I was unaware that Bioware considered them premium content. Still I believe it to be important to allow people access to such things regardless of weather or not it is frowned upon. I will edit them however but I must say that the CEP seems to need to hire more people so that mistakes like these will not occure again. Please don't take this as me being upset about anything because I'm not. I'm just stating the obvious.
After some testing, it is obvious that the canoloth model was never meant to be released in its current state, as it is not animated. It could still be a decent model with a bit of polish, but I can see why the CEP Team decided to cut it from the final release. _________________________ Realms Of Destiny PW
Thanks for helping folks fix these issus. However, I found one problem with this appearance.2da. The second Tanarukk entry (line 3133) does not have the name listed and fixed in this release. Everything else you fixed seems to work just fine. _________________________ OnyxEye - Lead Admin
