This scriptset for 3dsMax 5.1 (or higher) and Gmax creates all needed objects ( bases, dummies etc ) with their correct naming and linking. It supports AuroraExport (Bioware), NWmax and Mdl-Plugin-Suite (Scooter).
--> NEW in 1.23 corrected placeable node creation (+more)
--> NEW in 1.22 support for GMAX
It can easily create Tiles, Doors and Placeables with all the correct naming and nodes needed.
velTools comes with a huge amount of miscellaneous tools for managing large numbers of
models and parts, esp. useful for tileset creators (like me) .
All Tools are sorted in a number of thematic rollouts...
* NWN Creator - Creates NWN models
* Toolbox 1-3 - Various tools that help with mesh operations, linking, selecting and more
* NWN Tools 1-2 - Various tools that help with NWN typical operations (eg wok checking)
* Mesh Tools - the name says it
* Emitter Archieve - store emitters for later use
* Animation - simple animation tools
* Multimaterial - tools that will help with using multimats in NWN models
* NWmax Tools - NWmax Specific Tools
* Aura Tools - Aura Specific Tools
* MDL Suite Tools - MDL-Suite Specific Tools
Please see the complete description at the url below, as this space is simply too limited to describe the main features without missing some.
v1.23
added : ToolBox III - select vert/edge/face by index number
tweak : MeshTools - Removed Simple Stair Creator - added it as seperate tool in the quicklaunch scripts
added : Settings - Restart Button
tweak : NWN Creator - placeable nodes didn't always get created correctly, there have been problems
with the naming based on false community assumptions.
This has been fixed.
The new system needs you to enter the full modelname in the name box instead of using the name/suffix combo.
tweak : NWN Creator - added 'Create Sourcelights' to the tile creation options
tweak : removed the (obsolete) color panel for tile mainlight creation
added : QuickLaunch - Simple_Stairs
added : QuickLaunch - Helper_Resizer
added : QuickLaunch - Placeable_Renamer - renames placeable nodes correctly
Thought I voted on this so long ago, but can't find it anywhere if I did. Use it constantly, wouldn't import an NWN model without it. _________________________ Michael DarkAngel The Brotherhood of the Realm

How could I have never voted for this? An essential tool to any serious modder working in 3dsmax. Velmar's site was lost in the host move for DLA in early 2006. They never put it back up. If you have questions I suggest you go to Link and post in the NWmax forum.

the setup.exe for this was created long before AVG learned about that older .exe generator. it does NOT have a virus, just ignore it. Or, Optionally, grab the scripts only version and manually extract the files yourself. Eitherway, these files have been up here for over a year, except for the latest version is the 1.23b version.

AVG detected a Threat when I opened the setup, but didn't initiate the setup process just clicked the setup.exe, so I would like to know why its pissing off my AVG? Heres what it says "Trojan horse Downloader.Generic5.PIO" and it also trys to access Auto3Lib.exe which probably hints that it was made in AutoIt but thats the owners problem due to the fact AutoIt is a slower language then most even though its easier to use.

Been reinstalling critical programes back onto my machine for NWN moding and finaly got around to upgrading to VelTools (I still prefer the old MDLsuit so simple and so complete Mmmmm, just in a rather old flavour :( ) but ive run into quite an annoying snag, theres a big Bug in your latest version 1.23 with emitters. Theres an unknown exception error when placing or selecting an Emitter, its to do with the first two lines of the Chunk Rules section of the script, which unfortunatly stops the emitter drop down from displaying the texture and chunk rollouts, which after all make or break emitter creation :P Tried fiddling with the script myself (I can code of sorts) but still cant get it to function properly. You might want to give it a look see ASAP, not sure if im the only one with the problem, and its been a couple of months since the update. Just of note I didnt have the Veltools floating rollout open at the time, but i dont see as to how that would make a differance.
