Created for the players of The World of Aenea PW, I am releasing this to the general public.
This is an upgraded, unabtrusive, informative, and transparent GUI for Neverwinter Nights. It was designed so that the game interface would not intrude as much on play of the game.
Take a look at the screen shots. Some of these images are big files, but detail is needed to really show the differnces from the original game resources.
Featured in this upgrade are:
- An informative hit point bar (that tells you at a glace how wounded you are)
- Transparent chat bar, chat windows, and quickbar
- Transparent windows for everything in the game, from character sheet to journal
- Transparent player menu buttons
- Upgraded versions of all my Hall of Fame winning Colorized Icons
- Upgraded emote icons
- Colorized domain icons
- All in-game icons (not cursors, just icons) have been upgraded to blend in
To Use:
1. Pick your download version (ZIP or RAR).
2. Download.
3. Decompress into your NWN/override directory (folder)
4. Overwrite any conflicting files from my previous icon packages
5. Enjoy!
6. Come back and vote...I like votes :)
If you like this and want to see more of what I've thought up, feel free to visit www.amethyst-dragon.com/nwn and then log into The World of Aenea PW.
Quick Fix 01: 3 minor file fixes based on feedback. Download and decompress into your override folder AFTER you have done the main GUI package.
Quick Fix 02: A minor fix for the missing alpha channel on the cursor, plus a few new cursor colorations. Download and decompress into your override folder AFTER you have done the main GUI package.
Quick fix. Decompress AFTER the full GUI is in your override (this overwrites 3 files). Fixed: Timestop spell icon for non-Aenea players, True Seeing effect icon, hench/summon hp bar.

This is very nice, even finding it after all this time. With the health bar, I have no trouble with the color or even changing it should I be inclined. Would you be able to point me at the file for the back of the healthbar, the green, yellow, orange, red.. etc? I find this harder to keep track of. Thank you.

Sever has plenty of griefers and if you have the audacity to report PKing , abusive language and your NOT part of the in click ( political , DM friends ect ) you will be punished even if your the victim and your account erased , even if you have screens to back everything up. Great server if you can keep to yourself or like heavy political clickish servers . Very little epic content , all players get bottle necked into one to two areas that serve the entire player base from level 20 to 40.

Dropped the ball by not voting for this one... a couple years late.... but fixed. Been using this since I joined Aenea, and cant stand the original scheme anymore.

"Spell/feat icons not logically colored? Orange = fire spells, golden yellow = healing spells, green = acid spells, purple = defensive spells... / ...blue = combat/fighter feats, golden yellow = healing/holy feats, purple = defensive feats like expertise. Each color was chosen for a theme or to be visibly different from the themed colors." Ahh but I meant something different, hard to express, I ment that you just changed whole picture to blue/red/whatever, instead than recolor one part to blue and one part to red. This way its just reskin and even I can do it in irfanview, each icon will take 5seconds. (ofc very few icons are colored in that sense, but mostly its just reskin) _________________________ [Boost System] [Door System] [Devastating Critical Immunity] [HIPS remake] [Circle Kick Mode] [1.69 Full 2da Source]

The green/yellow-green/orange/red in the hitpoint bar show up as you get wounded. Look to the top edge of the blue to quickly check you status...if you see red (fading to black) there, you better get some healing! _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works) Vault Entries: The Complete List (50+ entries, including 17 Hall of Fame awards) Self-Promotional Honesty: If you have opinions on stuff I've made, or if you use any of it (as a player or builder), I like comments/votes/feedback...so do other content makers and builders. Axe_Murderer: Thanks for the votes! If/when the emote icons and 1.69 icons hit Hall of Fame, I'll put everything together for a "The Amethyst Dragon's Combined GUI Changes" package (and I'll throw in the colorized DM icons, too). :) _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works) Vault Entries: The Complete List (50+ entries, including 17 Hall of Fame awards) Self-Promotional Honesty: If you have opinions on stuff I've made, or if you use any of it (as a player or builder), I like comments/votes/feedback...so do other content makers and builders. Excellent mod. Now if only we could get you to combine up all your colorized/transparent UI stuff into one package...

"There is just too much transparency for me, especially Game options menu looks horrible. And it's unlogically colored (same as your spell/feat icons)..." Personal taste, I guess. It may be too much transparency for some folks. I personally don't use the game options menu much, since I don't often change my game settings, and for exiting the game it looks just fine. Colors? The colors make sense to me. The "examine" icon gets a blue iris and color to the lids. The various tabs on the character sheet get some color to make them more appealing and differentiate them. Spell/feat icons not logically colored? Orange = fire spells, golden yellow = healing spells, green = acid spells, purple = defensive spells... / ...blue = combat/fighter feats, golden yellow = healing/holy feats, purple = defensive feats like expertise. Each color was chosen for a theme or to be visibly different from the themed colors. "I like the red flowing damage and the *idea* of HP Bar is good too. But why blue color ????" To be different. The HP bar, when depleted, shows the relative health at a glance now, matching up with the status displays you get from mousing over any creature. And since red (fading to black on mine) is "near death", it makes sense to use something other than read for the "meter" part of the HP bar. Plus, I tend to see red as related to bloodied and beaten...or full of freshly gained blood, which would be good for vampires, but not the normal living. I could have gone green, but that's already associated with being poisoned, so blue was my next choice. "I just couldn't adapt, maybe I'm too conservative for this..." Overrides are optional. Isn't NWN great? _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works) Vault Entries: The Complete List (50+ entries, including 17 Hall of Fame awards) Self-Promotional Honesty: If you have opinions on stuff I've made, or if you use any of it (as a player or builder), I like comments/votes/feedback...so do other content makers and builders.
