Wayland's Gmax Import/Export MaxScript, with modifications that fix a few minor problems with the original, such as the skinmesh export error. The NW Vault entry for the original version of Wayland's MaxScript says that Wayland's script is obsolete and you should use NWMax now. That is an opinion I do not share.
Hail! Before anyone gets offended, I'd like to clarify my statement that I do not share the opinion that Wayland's MaxScript is obsolete and you should be using NWMax now. That is not intended as a knock on NWMax and the work Joco put into it. I definitely do not see NWMax as somehow inferior. I see it as one option, and for people who are less hands-on than I am, it is probably the better option.
I like Wayland's script for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I am used to using it, and I do not always have time to learn a new way of doing essentially the same thing. Secondly, I like a more hands-on approach, and NWMax automates some things I would rather do by hand.
The purpose for posting this version of Wayland's script is simply to get the version that doesn't have the skinmesh export bug and a couple of other minor problems out to the community. That's all. It's not to diss NWMax in any way. It is really intended for people who use Wayland's script already, and want the fixed version.
