Having had a chance to play around with this for awhile, and now that's it gone final, time for a vote/review.
Overall this is a very useful add-on for NWN that fixes a lot of little things that BioWare overlooked, messed up, or didn't have the functions for when they wrote the original code.
I see nothing here that upsets the balance of the game. Indeed, IMO, in many ways it enhances the balance of existing content - especially spells. The AI enhancements are nicely done. As a Builder, I especially like that creatures don't seem to stand around anymore like they did sometimes after respawn.
The only thing that gives me pause is the format - its a little disconcerting for me that it modifies the .bif files. However, its easy enough to revert or backup your installation, so not really a major concern.
I give this project a 9.50 overall rating. Good job ShaDoOoW and I hope the Vault gets your live release sorted out soon. _________________________ --

Didn't know a single author's compilation of heterogeneous works lacking even any semi-official endorsement or real community support at large could constitute a community patch... smells fishy.

I'm not voting at this time, but do have some comments. After finally having a chance to test this, I find it of little use (at least for myself). I'm also very uncomfortable with this package's title and presentation. Calling it the "Communtiy Patch 1.70" implies its officially endorsed by Bioware or even the NWN Community at large, which it is not.
Since your "fixes" refer to DnD 3.0 and 3.5 rulesets along with your own attampts at balnced play, I think a more honest name for this package would be "ShadoOow's - House Rules" instead. _________________________ The Savage Frontier and Surrounds - NWN PW based in the Forgotten Realms: Link

As its still beta I won't be voting, but a 1 LadyVivian? Seems kinda harsh to me, especially when you offer no explanation for such a low vote. I smell a Troll... _________________________ --

I would say in all honesty the only reason this high is there was a lot of copy and paste work here so for that I guess good work. otherwise I dont see something named community patch is really going to be used by many people IN the community plus the play off that this is the "next" step in 1.69 leads me to think this is disingenious at best and flat out false at worse.

Very nice work. I like a LOT of what you've done here ShaDoOoW. :)

@ Pessie83
What you want to do can be accomplished by scripting in armor part appearance changed within the on-equip / on-unequip events. You could create gloves, set a variable on the new item to represent the appearance of that part that you want ot use. Then your equip script would make the change. On-Unequip could just change to the default appearance for that creature (IE: human, halfling, dwarf, etc.) This could also include hands+forearm if you wanted it to.
ShaDoOoW, by visuals i mean that the stuff like gauntlets, gloves and boots can be seen on the character when you have those equipped in the inventory. Can you do that for us please?

Thanks for the fixes, this deserves the a 10 simply because it brings continuing fixes to nwn. I hope the project stays alive, and more contribute to it along with gaining wide acceptance.
I hadn't realized this worked with linux as well, so I had not tried it. Now that I have it installed, is there a demo module somewhere? I am not a builder but it would be nice to see some of the changes in action.
