Revinor's Hak Pak Updater is a client/server interface for launching multiplayer games for NWN. In any module that requires a hak pak, Hak Pak Updater does the following:
automatically logs on to the specified hak pak server and checks the status of the hak pak to see if anything has been changed;
if you do not have all of the elements in the latest hak pak for the module, the Hak Pak Updater client will selectively download only those files in the hak pak which you do not have - saving you the download of the entire hak pak if only a few models or textures have been changed;
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 13 that made this score of 8.38 then rounded to 8.

I've downloaded the hak updater zip. It included a bunch
of files inside of folders inside of folders inside of
folders with no instructions on what to do with them.
The instructions attached to the link below tell me nothing
of these files and where they are supposed to go or what
they are for.
Vague beyond belief ... ???

Well, I'd really like to get this working as well. I'm no
Java wiz, sorry. But I am pretty adept with a PC. Plain
and simple this should have had a readme with it. I was
pretty sure I could make this work, but my JRE
didn't "automatically run it out of the box." I tried
lots of ways to make this work to no avail. I appreciate
what you're doing for us, but a little support is needed
here. So after some work I decided to go back to the
site, follow the instructions verbatim. I had already
deleted the .jar file after decompressing thinking I
wouldn't need it anymore, so I went to redownload it, and
what happens? The site is down. A very frustrating turn
of events. Oh well, I'll be patient. Thanks for the tool
and I hope to get it running soon.

This looks like a great utility, and one I very much want,
but, COME ON!!! When is everyone going to wise up and
realize it's not enough just to put something on the
internet. SOME OF US NEED INSTRUCTIONS!!! I am so
frustrated with downloading a great looking utility, only
to have no idea where it goes, what to do with it, etc. I
know you guys aren't being paid for this, it's a hobby, but
when you dangle a great looking carrot like this out there,
then assume all of us are extremely computer savvy, it just
angers us. It's also hard for me to convince people to get
into this hobby when it's made so difficult. It may seem
obvious and simple to you, but you need to realize that
many of us do this for RECREATION! I don't want to have to
go out and learn a bunch more scripting, and download more
programs, most of which will require me to learn more
scripting. I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth,
after all, those of you who are making these programs are
really spending your free time doing this to help us, and
they're great programs, but please, please, please take the
extra minute to write thorough instructions on what we need
to do.
Thank you.

Guess this is not for me, cause I have no idea what do do
with it now that its downloaded. I like the idea of not
haveing to download the whole hakpack though.
