This is the BETA version of Illusion System 1.0 for NWN. Includes 3 files: 1 - IS10.erf (the scripts, library and objects required to implement Illusions in any module) 2 - Illusion System 1.0.txt (documentation) 3 - Illusion Test.mod (mini mod showcasing use of illusions). The txt file is a comprehensive discussion of the system, how to implement it and known bugs and issues. I'd like to see how it works for players and builders alike before finalizing this version for release. Please send comments, suggestions and issues to [email protected] Thanks - Starcryst

Do be careful! Don't lose any of that stuff. That's concentrated evil. One drop of that could turn you all into hermit crabs.
I don't think Starcryst is around any more and I'm not sure if that email address is valid. He posted the scripts (and has the password) so I can't change it. If you want to contact someone regarding this system you can email me or message me in the Bioware forums,

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 2 that made this score of 9.00 then rounded to 9.

Allium,
The bug we found with GetFirstObjectInArea() is not
consistent. One of the guys from Bioware indicated that
they had never seen a problem with the function and when
we attempted to repeat the bug in the way he suggested we
test it, it wouldn't repeat.
It seems that something strange happens when we run
scripts in the OnEnter handler for an Area. We are still
trying to isolate exactly why the function works correctly
in some instances but not others. If we can't figure it
out, we'll try your suggested solution.
Thanks.

I have only had a little bit of a fiddle with this so far,
so I don't have much to say. However, reading your very
extensive Readme I noticed you having the problem with
GetFirstObjectInArea() - have you tried using
GetFirstInPersistantObject()? you can use that for areas,
and Aoe's and triggers if I remember correctly...

Jaks,
Did you play around with the system or are you just
commenting on the idea of an illusion system? :)
We're very curious about what people think of the system
once they have played around with it.
