The Abyss 404 Server Log Command System is a Java-based tool that watches the log files for NWN servers for special commands. It has a plugin system that makes it easy to develop new commands for the system. Three powerful plugins are included. The AutoBic Races system includes an in-game character creator and allows the automatic modification of saved character files via a server log command to implement custom races for PC's without requiring any client-side components. The Enforcer plugin is an external ELC checker that scans through a saved character file to determine whether it is legal by the standards of the server. It is open source to allow developers to customize the check for their server. The AutoScribe plugin is a system for automatically recording and emailing conversation transcripts from within the game through server log commands.
I do not know what's happening with RG, possibly IRL things. Anyway, the links to the above Beta 8 and so forth are dead (apparently the guild is deceased in the Bioware Registry), and that's pretty sad. I loved helping him test out Beta 6 on A404 long ago, and hoped he'd still support this. Or at least, do one last upgrade. _________________________ Lan's Placeable Groups v1.5

any certain version of windows required for this? reason i ask is cause im on a windows 98se machine and after i added the imports (just the ones it says to use in the readme for none ilr mods) i get an access violation error in my kernal32.dll file and the toolset is all buggy now.Was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem?
but other then that its a great system all my players seem to love it thanks and keep up the great work..

actually thas more like how CRR subraces works.
With this system you import the script package based on the criteria in the help docs, get the java stuff setup and running on your server, then when you login you TALK to the creature in the start area and select a subrace from the available options. For you you would need elf as base race then he will give the option of drow. Once you make a selectiopn and confirm it will log you out, you wait a bit and log back in, talk to the guy again to see if there's anything he needs to do to you to finalize the changes and boom you're a drow. It'l even use the drow model for your character. This is also an old version. there's a patch from this version to version 8 and another to 9. The one for 9 is just a cut and paste of the java file. Best to go to the NWN guild for this system for information and updates. The system has a few limitations but is very nice. People have mixed this with CRR for an alternative way to handle the ECL and SR features.---Aidonor _________________________ ---Aidonor

hey guys, I'm sorry, I'm new to NWN module making and though I understand what this plug-in does, I'm not sure how to implement it. Basically what I understand is that if I make a character on a server with this and I put in "drow" as my subrace, it will alter my stats, etc to that of a drow? I'm not sure if that is correct, but could someone please explain in simple terms how to implement it? My friend and I have begun work on a campaign where players will have the opportunity to play as monsters like formians, bugbears, or hobgoblins, and one person wants to play as a half-arachnid type char. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with the subrace function...anyways, could someone please clue me in? thanks a lot

Can this be used with CODI's NWN Character Creator making it compatible with server vault servers?
if the answer is yes then you made my month :)

A new upgrade release of this tool for HoU or SoU 1.61 is available on the guild site. It includes wing and tail support as well as ELC checking for Epic levels and new functionality that was introduced in HotU/1.61.

Here's something so obvious to me I didn't think of putting it in the documentation: The plugins for the system are for servervault servers only.
Though I wouldn't even waste my time trying it, I think the 3 included plugins should not work for localvault servers since they all need to access the saved character files based on servervault path and playername.
